WHY does Obito help kill his clan??????

Obito helps Kill the Uchiha clan but why...is it because of Rin dieing?? it never really says other than he had a grudge with the clan, did he do it so there would be not that many Sharingan for when he tries to take over the world. OR to make the assuption that he was Madara more believable and kill the clan because they abandoned him. any ideas or can anyone fill me in

I don't know, I mean, Obito was on board with Madaras plan and the Uchiha might have been a real trouble for them, since they can break out of tsukuyomi and all that. Or maybe something happened between him and the clan which we haven't seen yet
