Why Does NB have so many rules?

Because the creators of this site made the rules on a whim when the site was first established. That's "why" the site has so many rules. Carry on.

Rules are in place to keep some sort of order around here, otherwise you'd have porn threads every few seconds.

Because people tend to get carried away with their words over the Internet. Frankly I don't find it the least bit difficult to obey the rules. You just pretty much have to act like a human being to other people and treat them as such. If you do that then they never bother you. Shit I'm sure you can make a thread discussin how horrible a character is and as long as everyone is civil about it that thread will never be bothered. But they put the rules up when people go all hard on here and starting talking shit to everyone else like their something special

By enforcing the rules, the mods feel like they have some kind of power and authority. The more rules to enforce, the more pseudo-power to feel. That's how it is for every establishment, no matter how big or small.

The rules were made to keep up order in the forum! Each an every rule here has a purpose. Its not hard to see their purposes and to follow them accordingly!
If we didn't have the rules, then NB wouldn't be standing today.
Just abide by them and lets all be happy ^^
