there also the other reason stated a few times is that he promised sakura that he would bring sasuke home and part of naruto's ninja way is to never go back on a promise thus naruto is determined to honor that promise and also he and sasuke shared a special bond and the both went through a rough childhood so they are similar in that aspect so naruto see's sasuke as his only real family and refuses to let go of that

I can say with confidence that a good portion of people on this site would think/do the same thing xd, BUT the point is, this is Narutos ninja way and he plans on changin the world with peace and looooove

they're bestfriends, naruto's strongest bonds are with sasuke, they were the first to acknowledge each other, they are like brothers no matter how much either one wants to deny it....naruto wants to save his friend from the darkness and protect those he cares about....etc. i would want to the same thing for my bestfriend....
