Why does Naruto need to be hokage anyway???

He's already acknowledged by his whole village and the shinobi he's proving he can adequately protect the shinobi as a genin so why the need to become hokage? To me Sasuke's reason is at least logical.. I'm not saying he should become hokage but he at least has an ambition to change the darker ways of the village so people dont suffer like Itachi did which is pretty cool. To me Naruto at this point with how strong he's become just wants to be a Kage for the sake of it for the sake of 'never going back on his word' which isnt good enough for a leader.. I'll repeat NARUTO IS A GENIN BUT IS ALREADY CAPABLE OF PROTECTING THE WHOLE WORLD WITHOUT KAGE TITLE.

The first thing Naruto wanted to change since he was 13 is how the Hyuuga's main branch treats the second branch. Naruto wants to end all conflict amongst the villages and have peace which he have been working on by turning Nagato/Konan/Rain village into his alliance, getting Gaara and the sand to view Konoha and him as a true friend, tried to get A not to kill Sasuke because it can start conflict amongst the village. He wants the Bijuus not be seen as weapons but as comrades which would stop them from being used as weapons between nations.

As Shikamaru told his dad, Naruto makes others want to walk with him and help him; this will allow Naruto to unite everyone. Hashirama called Naruto's past hope for everyone so he have the best chances of making changes and he has Shikamaru who said he would be one of Naruto's advisors. Learning his dad was the 4th Hokage would also strengthen his resolve to become Hokage.

Sasuke still showed to have a dark side so he give off a Danzo vibe during the War arc here

. Sasuke is not someone people would want to follow if they don't have too, as Itachi wisely put: You don't get acknowledged when you become Hokage, you become Hokage when you get acknowledged.

True true its just he hasn't really stated his reasons or dreams once he becomes hokage thats all. Hashirama wanted children to live past 30 and to play not fight Tobirama wanted to stop anything that threatens the village and did set up the structure of the academy ec Horuzen it got thrown at him by tobirama and i dont know why minato wanted to be the 4th. To me its at the moment its no different to Kiba wanting to be hokage just to make dog independence day.

Why would he state something that he hasn't done yet? All those reasoning you mentioned were made when they became Hokage. Minato was made the 4th Hokage because the Third Hokage felt he was qualified. Also there is worlds of difference between Kiba and Naruto. The character development Naruto got Kiba can only dream of. So its not fair to compare the two. Please take off your biased hat and see the picture.

he was the same as Naruto. NAruto is already mature. He simply isn't the guy to hold grudges.. Hashirama was calling madara an old friend.. yet went to beat him up. They simply don't hold grudges with people.

Its not about the goals or dreams. Its about the passion he has to run a village. He wants to be acknowledged by the village and be known as a hero. All his life people saw him as a monster. No one went by him or gave him any importance. He fought his way to the top to become the ninja he is. He wants to surpass every Hokage before him. He wants to bring peace to the world by being that important figure of his village. These dreams are big and can't be done by him sitting around at home. He has shown enough reasons to be a candidate for Hokage. The difference between him and Kakashi is that this boy actually wants it. So I am sure he will do the best he can once he gets it.

And he wants to protect his friends, Hokage is the ultimate status of the village's protector.
