He is not a regular jinchuuriki, his mother was a jinchuuriki while pregnant with Naruto, Kurama was sealed in her stomach next to Kushina's womb so Naruto adopted some of Kurama's traits during his development, ie, whiskers.

yeah thats a good question and we can assume is because of the kyubi chakra because the golden and silver brother also have the same whiskers but what about kushina and mito they also share chakra with the kyubi and they didnt get the whiskers..hmmmmm that makes me think

This information should be provided in standard documentation like Naruto Wiki. But I guess it isn't exactly solidified.

It's because the influence of the Nine-Tails. His mother, Kushina, was a jinchuriki of the fox spirit while pregnant with Naruto. Hence the reason he was born w/ whiskers.
