Why does Madara NEED Obito?????????

There's this common theory that Obito is so special that Madara and Zetsu need to stage events to coerce Obito to join their side...Why is that???? The Uchiha massacre hasnt started yet, there are still plenty of full fledged Uchiha with content against Konoha for Madara to seek (if he wanted to)...why would he NEED little Obito for his plans?????? Just curious
Not to mention, there's rogue ninja like Orochimaru who he can seek out with plenty of spite against the leaf....Why would he need Tobi to the point where he will have Zetsu find his friends, and trick them? Reasons?

He might see potential in Obito perhaps? Madara was the leader of the Uchiha and doesn't want someone as "little like Obito" to fall and be weak.

I kind of agree with you. For one, Madara is all about the Uchiha, so using Orochimaru would defeat the purpose, since in his current old and withered state, orochimaru would probably just kill him and take his EMS(Assuming Madara is unable to fight in this condition) 2. Maybe Madara was thinking along the same lines as you stated: Obito would be easier to coherse and train being he was just a kid that, by all rights and purposes, should be dead.

Honestly I don't think any other Uchiha would allow him to take over. Plus, Obito happened to be near his hideout when he saved him, so perhaps it was fate that those two met.

Im saying back then when Obito was a child, why does Madara need to set stages up for Obito to see his friends die and all that? Could he not find someone else to do his bidding?? (Young Itachi, Shisui, etc.) The idea that madara would set a little scheme up to kill a little chunin/ jonin to "convince" Obito to join him is rather ridiculous...

Why not????????????? Lets not forget that Sasuke's dad was getting ready to go into a civil war with the rest of the UCHIHA CLAN against Konoha.....Those are the kind of allies Madara wanted his people to be back in his prime.....Why wouldnt they join his cause????

First Madara truly despises the Uchiha for letting themselves be subjugated to the leaf as they were so he is not likely to seek out their help as he does not feel he can trust them. However a young Obito who by all accounts should be dead and considering that zetsu was probably watching the entire scene play out where Obito gave his sharingan to Kakashi and showed how much he cared for Rin could easily be manipulated into hating the world by taking away his love would be easy to turn and use against everyone. When you add in that for all of his life Obito was belittled even by the Uchiha as everyone said he was weak and not worthy of being an Uchiha it should be easier to get him to hate the Uchiha as well.

Second and this is just a guess but maybe one of Madara's abilities is to be able to sense what kind of powers a sharingan will have. When he saw what Obito's would evolve into he realized that it would be a very powerful weapon that he would be able to use to his advantage.

Thats the thing, Sasuke's dad (along with the rest of the village was nothing like that! They were ready to take action for their independence JUST LIKE MADARA was back then. I dont think that Madara was ready to get his plans into motion the moment obito dropped in. And just as such, I dont believe he went through the trouble of having Rin killed for the sake of twisting a little Uchiha. WHy cant this Rin incident be chalked up to the war torn ninja world?? Are things really that peaceful without Madara?
