I don't understand this whole thing about Madara always getting powerups when he really doesn't need them.
1) I mean when he was an edo, no one was able to keep up with him, not even Hashirama who he beat off panel and yet he felt inadequate and had Obito bring him back to life. He even messed up the 5 kage !
2) No one was able to beat him alive, especially after he got sage mode. He messed up 9 Tailed Beasts, Sasuke, Hashirama again, Tobirama and more and, even when no one could hold a candle to him, he freaking transforms into juubi jin.
3) Now when he was the Juubi Jin, He messed up Minato like Minato was a rag doll and kakashi and the only time he ever had any sign of threat was against Gai and Naruto and he was able to tank everything they threw at him and heal anyway and yet he absorbs the tree without even showing anything besides some black balls in his juubi mode. Like wth. He has never been taken to the limit and yet he keeps getting stronger.
IN other anime, the main villain is always taken to the limit before he transforms/gains more power.
Frieza was threatened and transformed ponly when he needed to. (Example was when piccolo kicked his ass in his frist transformed state and he tranformed and again when goku went ssj and he had to to another transformation or powerup)
In yu yu hakusho, yusuke gave toguro problems so toguro used full power and it was the same case with other villains.
those are just examples but they really apply to all anime except naruto. The main villain just keeps getting strogner without being threatened
