Yeah nerfing is for plots sake some people need to be hyped up and others suffer for it.

Because he writes himself into a corner. He unnecessarily overpowers some of his characters so much that they have to be nerfed
for the story to continue. Itachi is a prime example of this. Did Itachi really need Yata mirror on top of susano. It was an unncessary and useless powerup for Itachi seeing as it didnt tank anything his susano couldnt have handled.
