Why does kishi keep restraining Itachi/

^ That and also because Itachi is a good guy, he only killed his clan because of an order. He also did it because he wanted to give Sasuke his own Sharingan, because it would only open if Sasuke goes through stressful or emotional condition, which is the death of his own clan and specially his parents.
Itachi is a good guy and he only kills when needed and if killing that person is vital.

kabuto is an as*hole who can do anything to survive like oro. Just like you said itachi hasn't shown his full potential yet

Kishi has restrained just about everyone in this manga short of Naruto(sans Naruto and Sasuke). Just a couple that come to mind -
Orochimaru - Only real fight he had a fair shot in was vs Hiruzen, but he summoned 2 people to fight for him. Hiruzen probably would have wiped the floor with him, but still. After that he's been without the use of his arms.
Jiraiya - The one true fight he gets he has to be that sacrificial ninja who gets some of the info to Konoha. If he takes on Pain with the same knowledge/prep time as Naruto, he has just as good of a shot to take him down as Naruto did, IMO.
Tsunade - Lol do I even need to say anything? The one shining moment she has Madara is all "LOL WOOD CLONE".
Kakashi - How many times has he been ready to kill someone only to have someone intervene, or had to worry about others therefor not being able to focus on the fight? Zabuza, Kakuzu, Deva Path and Sasuke the most shining examples. No one has ever given me a logical explanation as to why Asura Path wasn't broken in to little pieces by Chouji/Chouza..just no way..EXCEPT FOR PLOT NO JUTSU BEING ACTIVATED. Chouji, Chouza and Kakashi can't be heroes..Naruto has to be.

1.) Itachi loves Konoha, oh yea Kakashi has a headband. What's that headband he wears?
2.) Itachi killing all of the members of Akatsuki while being covert ops to monitor the Akatsuki is self-defeating logic.
Agaisnt deidora he couldve let him blew himself him, but for obvious reasons akatsuki needed deidora.
3.) It's his little god damn brother. Let's murder Sasuke right away that way Naruto has no more protagonist. Don't become a writer.

This pretty much. Also the fact that if Itachi went crazy (similar to his g@y little brother), he would be virtually unstoppable. His legendary items are waaaaaaaaay too overpowered. Think about it. A mirror that deflects ANY attack, and a 1 hit kill (to be pedantic, seal) sword. That makes him virtually invulnerable.
In short, he would surpass the main character in the series. We cant have that happening can we?!

Orochimaru in his fight against hiruzen he wasnt bloodlusted, i agree. Against 4 tailed naruto you can argue other wise.
Jiraiya was in bloodlust against the paths and hesistated at first, but then killed 3.
Kakashi hasnt hesitated at all. Against zabuza he had every intention on killing him with raikiri but haku come in. He was in bloodlust against kakuzu, when he took out a heart and if kakuzu didnt have 4 left thats him dead. He didnt hesitate trying to teleport deidora away, but failed because he had not mastered kamui yet.
Tsuande, well she is a medic, her job is to do the opposite xd. Even that in the recent chapters we did see her kinda serious against madara

I need not explain the sasuke situation, although even after all the advantages sasuke had, from itachi's intent, blindness, movement, low chakra, coughing up blood he still couldnt beat him.
Even after seeing edo itachi, when i thought finally we would see a bloodlusted, healthy itachi with intent to kill, kishi had taken away this and now itachi is fighting to capture instead. Is blood lusted itachi such a formidable opponent that kishi doesnt want us to see him in this mode?
2.Oro could grow his head back (I did not see a limit to his regeneration ).Plus that was not a real battle.
3.Itachi personally recruited Deidara so why would he kill him?
Kishi restrains a lot of characters.I mean, just look at Orochimaru and Nagato.Nagato could have absorbed both amaterasu and the totsuka sword, yet we all know what happened.Orochimaru ran around with no arms for most of the series and we haven't seen a fragment of all his jutsus.Danzo could not use KA against Sasuke, etc.It happens...

Itachi experienced the killing once , he knew how does it feel to "kill" and he won't repeat it ever again I presume, from the second he decided to accept the mission he was meant to be the character of sacrifice and goodness (lonely goodness if you know what i mean , he never had "friends" after shisui ", and he decided to take all the burden on his own Shoulders.
I see bloodlust more like how in the chunin exam Kabuto's eyes went red and we could see how much he wanted to kill them and Gaara also had bloodlust before Naruto helped changed him. It's when you want blood for the simple reason of killing either from choice or anger. Lots of ninjas would be stronger if they had bloodlust (as long as their smarts don't suffer), Naruto never fought sasuke with the intent to kill so you can say if he had bloodlust then he would have killed Sasuke in the valley of ends. With bloodlust and I mean the strong bloodlust that you want to see then it would more or less change Itachi. Look at Sasuke's bloodlust, he looked insane and wasn't thinking clearly (EX: when he was talking to Kakashi and saying how much he wants to kill him).Has anybody noticed that kishi keeps on restraining itachi?.

Itachi is cool and collected, that allows him to make good strategies and think clearly. With Bloodlust he will lose focus, as they say "never fight angry". Naruto let his angry control him sometimes (not bloodlust just anger and hatred) and the result was the fox taking control. We see Naruto's bloodlust increase with the fox will (3 tails and up). I rather Itach just be more of an attacker than a defender, Itachi only fights when he is attack instead of just attacking.

No physical atk can kill oru.. PERIOD! But the sword (which i assume he didnt have at the time) could of sealed him.
Pain would of got pissed if he would of killed such a good young asat to the group!
Like many has said before, that isnt itachi's style to kill just to kill. He is like goku in a sense that if he can spare you he will.. He did try to kill tobi tho for the record.lol Itachi is great and all but dont make him out to be what he isnt. Every character has a draw back that could be there weakness if they were to fight.
Kishi is trying to maintain the mary sue character that is itachi but still...he´s not invincible, it´s just the people he happens to fight are weaker then him or he gets an opportunity like the nagato fight which to me was all plot, there was no way he should´ve defeated Nagato not even in that situation.
