You do know Naruto was talking about Sakura saying she has no feelings for Sasuke right? Naruto even flashbacks to her crying in part 1 whenever she said that she doesn't care for him and how Sasuke changed. It most likely nothing to do with her saying she loved him, all he said about that was why she came all the way there to tell him that instead of waiting until he return. Not like Naruto haven't lied to her, he transformed into Sasuke just to try and steal a kiss.

I don't hate Sakura, although her character is pathetic. Kishi practically shoehorned her into the story for the sake of having a female on team 7. Her backstory is practically blank, and Kishi even trolled her supposed talent on genjutsu (surely Kurina(?-Asuma's wife/baby mama) could have taught her something over the time skip). At least Sakura made improvements in part 2. Hinata is also bad in backstory but she escapes this by being a side character. Then again I didn't really care for Sakura's aggressive personality throughout the story and at times frozen by her emotions.

I dislike Sakura because of her stupid obsession with Sasuke that still haven't faded after 3 and a half years. Otherwise, she ceased being so useless and b*tchy. But I dislike Hinata more because she's such a flat character that seems like she's only existing to be paired with Naruto. I don't know why so many people hype her like she's the goddess of Narutoverse.

She is constantly obsessed over a dirtbag who clearly stated he doesn't like her, even so however, she relied on naruto most of the time to bring him back, or to guide his ways. And even when she did try to attempt and kill sasuke, she almost had her throat slit by an enraged sasuke. So she never corroborated much in those ways, I don't hate sakura tho, just a sight for sore eyes.
