Why does a Snake Sage teach Dragon Sage Mode?

This weeks chapter was definitely a 5/5 but I don't understand why a Snake sage would teach Dragon Sage Mode. Why not Snake Sage Mode?

because a flying snake is a dragon. look at a Japanese dragon its long with little wings, it looks like a snake with wings basicly, so maybe kishi thinks they have a common ancestor lol

Snake resembles dragons..I also do belive that like there tongues xd maybe its an upgrade to the snake. The snakes get larger and is the size of the dragon like when orichmarus big snake form.

This would definitely be it, sasuke said that snakes crawled on their bellies jealous of the hawk but now kabuto has become on par with it because he´s become a dragon!

well being snake sage doesnt pay off as good as it used to be, nowadys all snake sages have to have a 2nd or a 3rd job to get around and feed their snake childs. so thats why snake sage is also dragon sage.
