The Last went into production in 2012. Six Path Senjutsu was established in 2013.

That's because Minato was the inventor of Rasengan. Thus is in fact his jutsu. So I don't think that is a good comparison as Jiraiya didn't invent Sage Mode.



Seems likely. The Last shows that Naruto's Six Path form and Sasuke's Rinnigan was thought up at the last minute.

Here again, why would Minato state that his own son mastered SM like himself, and not Jiraiya? Minato never got the chance to use it in a real fight, however he was able to use it in Mount Moboku, and SM wasn't his special jutsu to begin with. He had no Choice but to use SM in front of Rikudo Madara.
No matter how you see it, it wasn't an asspull. Give the fact that Pa who teached Naruto SM said that he surpassed Minato and Jiraiya in terms of SM, so called natural energy.
