[Discussion] Why do you think Gajeel hasn't used Tetsuryu no Uroko?

So in the Phantom Lord arc, when Gajeel fights Natsu he used Tetsuryu no Uroko (Iron Dragon's Scales) and it made him really strong. So, why hasn't he used it again?

I know the fight you're talking about. I was contemplating about stating that one too. But are you sure? I thought he just used his Iron Pole to tank the attack?

Yeah I've read the manga, that makes more sense. I wasn't sure because he combined it with the shadows. So why do you think he didn't use it in other fights?
