Major sigh at this thread. I smoke w33d from time to time. Why? Because its fun. Things that are funny to me become even funnier. Food tastes better, etc, etc. I started when I was 13 because I thought it would be fun, and it was. I'm not a menace to society, nor am I a leech who constantly asks people for w33d money. I work for a living. Honestly, I think the people who lump up pot smokers as "retarded" or "lazy" have never even actually hung out with one. Some of my best friends smoke it and they are nice, funny, and smart. It's not destructive in any way (except for the increase in the food bill XD) and it helps us have more fun. Why so much hate?

Also I graduated from high school with a 4.0 GPA and I was in 2 AP classes so inb4 I'm retarded

I used to hang around with my friends who used to smoke, which got me into the smoking business (as retarded as that sounds) I'm not encouraging anyone to do it, in fact, I'll rather abhor it. it's not good for you, like at all and I do know since once you smoke, the body asks you to smoke to fulfil the nicotine craving, when that happens you'd be going crazy for a cig. But I digress. The feeling of smoking (I smoke tobacco) is very placate and assuage. It helps me to relieve stress, some people don't appreciate smoking in the proximity of other people, which I can virtually comprehend why, I'm quite audacious, and irascible (I am) so I smoke everywhere lol (disregarding the places which prohibits smoking ofc) . Smoking is not entirely insipid as people say, it's quite good for those who do smoke. It's quite pleasurable, and is good at removing stress, it's pretty relieving, as for those who don't smoke might not know that.

But recently, I've tamed down my smoking intake, I smoke to 4 to 6 cigs everyday, which is actually quite ameliorate, so I don't smoke much as I used to, which is better then a pack a day at least. I'm also using a filter, a tar filter to be precise, which allows the the tar to accommodate in between the pipe, to prevent it from going in my lungs. So I've found some ways to improve smoking, and cut it down. To quite an extent.

Personaly, i don't smoke, but my parents do. They do it because it's their only way to relieve stress since they work a lot. So, don't automaticaly call them retarded.

I use to smoke cigs but quit when I found out I had a kid on the way. Glad I did because my cardio is back up to the condition it was when I was 17.

Still smoke weed,its relaxing and puts me in the "zone" when I'm playing games. Halo is my jam when I'm stoned.

Plus it still allows me to function properly unlike alchohal.

@crystal chakra: why all the hate? You talk of religion but you don't seem to practice its teachings in your speech or opinions. Mabey I'm wrong though,it could be that everyone of your particular religion is a total douchbag **** sneeze. I doubt it though.

I dont smoke and I dont understand those who do. I guess it helps relieving stress. I'm very stressful,but still will never smoke. I dont want health problems later.And I guess many teens start smoking only coz their friends do so as well.

I was kinda like you, all my friends smoke, so I wanted to know what was all the fuss about smoking, so I started, then a week goes by and I didn't fnd enjoyment in smoking so I quit. Some people like it, I don't, so right now I'm the only one in the group who doesn't smoke and proud of it.

I smoke because I enjoy it. With cigarettes I get to take five or ten minutes out of my day and just relax and talk to people I work with. You would be amazed at the networking and information you can attain just by talking to the smokers for a few minutes. The smoke deck is the only place I can really relax with superiors and subordinates alike and talk about whats going on in the company. It does me good to take the edge off. I enjoy smoking hookah for the taste and the feeling as well as the above mentioned socializing. I can't speak for anyone else but my family seems to have some strange immunity to cancer. They all smoke and the youngest natural death of a relative was at 91.
I do have a lot of pet peeves about other smokers though. I hate it when people throw their butts on the ground especially when theres a receptacle less than five feet away. I hate it when people light up in the middle of a group consisting of mainly non smokers. I hate it when people smoke around kids.
You know what I hate more though? People thinking they have a right to dictate the choices others make. Who the hell are you to try to tell me whats good for my health? I work out twice a day, smoke a pack a day, and still manage to run two miles in less than thirteen minutes. Then I have to listen to people ***** about my habits? When I watch people sit there and inhale French fries and milkshakes from McDonalds I don't give them a lecture on their diet. It isn't my place. It isn't anyone's place except for them and their doctor.
The most ****ed up part is that the government supports that asinine mentality by telling business owners they can't let people smoke in their establishments. Who the **** are they to decide what a man does in his place of business? If I own a restaurant or a bar it should be my decision whether or not I allow people to smoke in it and nobody else's. That was always one of the fundamental freedoms this country used to enjoy that's been stripped of us.

Both of my grandfathers died of smoking, so dont expect me to support your right to smoke. Luckily the government in my country prohibited smoking in all public places Lol But yeah,personally I dont judge smoking,but the government has the authority to confine rights in favor of its citizens.

Nobody should have to right to dictate what a man allows in a bar or restaurant that is privately owned. That's bullshit. Its one of many recent law changes that have been making me sick to my stomach lately.

Don't be closeminded. I know several people who smoke weed, but are quite intelligent and genuinely good people.

OT: I don't smoke. I've always had an interest in smoking weed, but I used to be against the idea cuz I thought it was bad for you. But after having convos with people who do smoke weed, getting to know them and finding out a couple of my friends who aren't like complete retards or burn-outs do it, I've abandoned this fear of weed, and I intend to smoke it one day.
