Why do you (if you do) dislike the english dub.

the voices mostly and the subtitles usuauly have a better translation where the dub change what theyre actually saying to make it more suitable for children the dub version takes out swearing and other such things

Narutos voice is an abomination to all anime, so is luffys in One piece. The English dubs are just done overall shittier and they don't feel the same when I watch them. But there are shows where I like the English dub more than subs like DBZ, Soul Eater, Bleach, and Death Note, Naruto just definitely isn't one of them

I don't want to be a ****, but unless you mean dbz kai, DBZ dub is awful it has terrible acting. IMO

because sometimes the voice actors just don't fit the characters and sound lame/generic.

but, that doesn't mean that every English Dub is bad, it's excellent in some cases.
Death Note is a good example of an English Dub that i liked.

and in Naruto's case, the English dub is just .................... terrible.

i dont hate dubs but i prefer subs. the voice actors in the subs are better and their voice matches the character better than the dubs

This is my entire opinion on the matter lol. I hate having to read subtitles but every subbed anime has those 1-3 characters that make you cringe when they talk. (Sakura in Naruto for example) The only dubbed anime Ive prefered over subbed was dbz, japanese gokus voice is nonsense. Thats childhood 101 though

I can't stand the english dub, the voices just don't seem to suit the characters at all, especially after watching it in japanese. I just really can't get into it like I can with the subbed version, an anime really needs good voice acting for me to get drawn into it.

Naruto dubs just sound off to me. They often seem to be over-acting, putting more emphasis on their lines than needed, making them sound unnatural. Which is odd since most modern American cartoons appear to have decent voice acting, where characters just talk normally. They often use the same voice actors, and yet in Naruto dubs they seem to try to, I dunno, put in extra effort to make everything understandable for kids.

Naruto's voice and dubs are always hard to do because they have to limit emotion because of recording afterwards and having to fit with the lips. Naruto dub just sucks at emotion.

Naruto's English voice actor has to be changed, its as if he got something stuck on his throat, but on the other hand Pain's dub voice was op.

Depends on the show. Naruto has some decent dubs which I won't mind watching.
Hellsing's dubs are far better than the subs imo.
