Why do people keep putting down Itachi for killing his clan? I mean their really is no point because he did it for a greater cause. He dis the most logical thing to ever do which is kill off his own clan instead of a whole ninja war starting off again...

So I'm asking why people? He went through allot of pain to endure everything he has done. He even got sick of his actions.... He even wanted to die for what he has done.... all that while knowing he did what he had to do for the greater cause...

So why so many Itachi hate threads today? :ice:

4th Hokage, there was a chance that Sarutobi would have solved this with words as he said he would. He even asked Itachi to stall for time as he thought up of a solution. Apparently Danzo rushed Itachi and forced him to make a choice without Sarutobi being aware of it. It also seems that Itachi cooperated with Tobi without Danzo´s permission. The reason Itachi felt so much guilt is because once he was brought back to life he realized he made the wrong choice. He did not trust in the strength of Sarutobi and gave into Danzo´s pressure. He caved in. This resulted in the annihilation of the Uchiha, Tobi having access to all these Sharingan, and the ruination of his little brother. Itachi tried to be the sole solution, and was brought back to life to find out that Nagato had destroyed the village, and that Tobi went ahead with a world war anyways. Itachi did not prevent a war, and only empowered the real bad guy, which is why he called himself a failure.


Danzo saw that there was a chance Sarutobi would solve this diplomatically, so he manipulated the situation because he wanted all those Sharingan. He even sabotaged Shisui who tried to use Amatsukami to solve the issue. It´s funny how Kishimoto is wrapping all loose ends with the Uchiha, and Kabuto with Danzo. He´d make a fine final villain.

I know you guys love Itachi, but it does not excuse his choices. He should have cooperated with Hiruzen rather than Danzo.

Very logical argument. Fanboyism should not replace logic. Even Itachi himself called himself a failure. His choices were Hiruzen or Danzo. He chose wrong and died thinking he chose right. Kabuto allowed to see him that he had made the wrong choice, so as a thank you, Itachi is trying to make Kabuto see the error of his ways with Izanami. Both were struck with arrogance.
