It's kind of like christianity but is a lot stricter. Like they believe that it's idolization to get presents on your birthday, and other events, so usually theres no gift giving. Basically the rules are centered around the strict belief of judgment day when only the Jehovah's Witnesses will be risen from there graves and taken away to gods kingdom.Which makes them feel justified to go to peoples door steps saturday morning to save souls because only 144,000 will make it to the kingdom of heaven.
I was one for like a month when I was like 7 I think, my mom was trying a bunch of religions and me and my little sister had to tag along through all of them...
Yeahh not quite.
It is strict, I'll give you that, but you're misinformed. They don't believe only fellow Witnesses will go to heaven, they believe that after Judgement Day, or Armageddon, there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous, with the righteous living in a paradise Earth and the unrighteous undergoing judgment to see if they will be spared or destroyed along with the wicked, Satan and his Devils.
Those forgiven and the righteous will then live on the paradise Earth while a chosen 144,000 will serve as priests to Jesus in a heavenly kingdom, which shall be the one true government and Jesus will rule for about a 1000 years.
They do kind of think Christmas is idolatry. Well, not quite. It's not a holiday based on what the Bible teaches, but it's a Pagan holiday, and Pagans aren't godly people.
And they don't feel an entitlment to preach to you. They believe Jesus did what they are doing now, and they believe he told his disciples and those following him to keep on doing it.
