Why do we as humans like the bad guy ? Like I dont know why, but, we favor madara/obito on the good guys. Or Darth Vader ( He isn't technically bad but you get the point ), or Aizen on Ichigo ? Is it the factor of ''cool'' ? Cause bad guys dont hold their powers and go full havoc on you ?

Let me know what you think ! =D

It reflects dark thoughts and a bad personality that is hidden but nonetheless there.

The bad guy has ambition, control, power, confidence etc. They have a lot of appealing traits that the other don't. They take action and strive for their goals. They also believe what they are doing is right. You might not agree with their moral beliefs but they have all the other qualities people strive towards and look up to. They usually have some sort of justification in their beliefs too. You may not agree but you could see why they made the choices they do.

I wouldn't say I like the bad guy. I just respect the intelligence of a bad guy like Aizen. But I will say that I prefer Ichigo over Aizen.

Also in most manga/anime the bad guy usually starts out with good intentions but somewhere along the way loses sight of there true goal and begin to distort and pervert it into the evil we all know and I think as humans we can relate to that aspect of it...

Their personality is captivating and their goal outshines the protagonists.

i came to think that because they are proud to be related to them, like in shows they are proud to be fanboys of a character that is cool and strong. or in relationships they like that their partner is also cool and strong (and bad boys are that). it's completly taken from how OTHERS see the person, not spesificly what you think of him. thats why fanboys like to say that others are jealous rather then that others don't get it (which good guy fanboys say).

you know those women that talk about the job their husband has? "My husband is an engineer! my husband is a doctor!", or the males "My wife is a model! my wife was in a movie!". well those guys want others to think that their partner is speciel, then be jealous of them because of their partner. same with fanboys. it's another way of making a decision based on what others will think about you.

i didnt watch many mangas/animes. for example dragonball: i didnt prefer the villains, i like only the heroes.

but when it comes to naruto, its because i think madara and obito are right. i share their views.

and to the others who dont think so, madara said: one day you will realize, too.

Most popular series show the protagonists as being morally perfect and that they don't have bad things about them at all, facets of personality which i don't think any normal person possesses. Antagonists, on the other hand, are shown as morally imperfect beings who have only their own well-being in their mind and do things that would ensure better lives for themselves. Also, their actions bring joy to the megalomaniacs in people, so maybe that's why people can relate better to antagonists than the perfect protagonists.

That being said, The Joker is probably my all time favorite character in a superhero franchise.

I like good guy like itachi because he should be the main hero of the series and despite that she has so many haters , I really love sakura so much and sometime I like bad guys if they changed to be good guys like zabuza however I hate bad guys like orochimaru and I was happy when sasuke killed that freak and I hate kabuto and nagato as well

Naruto's bad guys are not even bad, just people with psychological issues. Personally I have no interest in them.
If I had to guess, I would say that people, in a certain age, like them because they believe being "bad" is "cool". If a bad guy has a good development as a character and a good reasoning behind his actions, then I don't see any problem in liking them.
People tend to admire or like a behavior or some traits that they would never show in their real life. Like a protection of a personality they will never have. But in Naruto most bad guys are undeveloped as characters so I guess most people see them as cool character because they are just OP.

i value a well written Hero that wants to help others/protect the innocents and does it with style (specially if he knows whats right, never doubt himself/what he must do/never goes back on what he stands for/wants to achieve).

as for the villains ............... i think that :

arrogance + confidence + power + a little bit of mystery (if possible) = an overall attractive character to the viewers, and these are the key ingredients to a badass villain.

i have a family member who works at survey company, and one day they asked a certain city "what do you look for in a city governor?". among the questions like he should be smart, he should have a degree, he should care for the people etcetera the most chosen answer was "he should be strong". thats why people followed hitler, because he looked strong and others looked week. they wanted glory for germany and a strong person to lead them to glory. and sadly we are all steal following people who are "strong" today.
