Holding back? Just because you're not trying to kill opponent doesn't mean you're holding back. Holding back means their is a difference in strength like 5 Kage vs Madara. You can go all out without trying to kill your opponent either.

Having a killing intention does not make you stronger either.

Where do we get this from?

The person in my Ava is the perfect example if you know him.

Akuma:-

Storywise, Shin Akuma is merely Akuma using the full extent of his skills and power and is almost one with the Satsui no Hadou, compared to the "in-game" version which is Akuma voluntarily holding back his power to avoid ending fights prematurely, but is not a form. In the Capcom vs. SNK games, a different form of Shin Akuma appears. This form of Akuma achieves a new level of power when a dying Rugal Bernstein pours his Orochi power into him. Shin Akuma, not M. Bison, is Evil Ryu's final boss in Street Fighter Alpha 3.

Not holding back mean using the full extent of skills and power be it to kill or not

There are abilities... when used are overkill. And you won't use'em if you aren't trying to kill someone...

Just for example...
Sasuke VS KillerB,
Assuming Sasuke can't suppress Amaterasu flames, he would never use it because he wasn't trying to kill him...

I love when people post that scan to say Sasuke lost to Naruto... If you read the manga correctly, you would know the symbolism and the meaning of those words.

In the end of the day both lost an arm and would die due to blood loss if Sakura wasn't there to heal them.

Honestly I think the intent to kill would make the said person to react to certain situations differently then he or she would if he or she was just trying to match his or her opponent's attack an not go for the kill.

The intent to kill is way different.

(Example is Vegeta mashing on Frieza to kill him off fast, rather than Goku matching him when could've easily killed him if he had intent to kill)

Conversely, if killer B was trying to kill Sasuke he would've went 8 tailed mode right off the bat

"Just because you're not trying to kill opponent doesn't mean you're holding back". Actually, that's exactly what it means. If someone is trying not to kill an opponent, then they are by definition, holding back. How else do you think the Akastuki managed to capture the jin they were perfectly capable of killing in any other situation?

Tried explaining this multiple times it wont ever get through.

As for OP I do MMA when we spar we are told whether or not to go 100%, 75%, or 50% so we regulate the amount of power we use when sparring. Though I will say this when I go 100% I don't intend to hurt, maim, or kill my opponent but the moves I use if my opponent isn't of equal skill could severely injury or kill.

Now while Naruto had no intention of killing Sasuke if Sakura didn't show up he would've died.

My definition is pointlessly fighting, something Naruto is good at.

Then again...If your not trying to kill your opponent your repetitive attempts at giving them blows to the head doesnt make sense. Realistically many ppl die a year just from a single punch to the face.

Ever been in a fight where you're merely trying trying to defend yourself vs wanting to knock someone out? That's the difference. Even if you never have its not that hard to imagine the difference.
