Why do we praise Naruto and bash Sasuke?

I read a thread asking if Naruto was overrated. The majority said yes. My feeling is that he's overrated because fanboys say he's earned everything he's got. It's the same as underrating Sasuke because people say oh everything he has was given to him. Just like Naruto, Sasuke asked to get stronger by a sannin. Sasuke trained and got better like Naruto. He created his own jutsu's just like Naruto. He improved on original jutsu's techniques just like Naruto. But yet still people say Sasugay(real original) and others say Lord Sasuke(fanboy). Naruto has been given massive powerups and let's be honet he gets upgrades about 1 every 20 chapters. Naruto and Sasuke aren't equal because of Kyuubi and that's the truth. If you take away the Kyuubi then they would be equals. Any thoughts on this people? Am I correct in thinking this way or am I way off in left field?

dnt really see how u can hate on naruto. In all honesty if i knew someone with the same personality as naruto I know he would be a very good friend...unlike sasuke..

If u r taking away the kyuubi then take away the sharingan from sasugay.

and anyways without the kyuubi naruto would have unlimited chakra in sage mode as he will be able to fuse with ma n pa.
what can sasuke do then??
he wont be able to use genjutsu which is naruto's weakness coz ma n pa will disrupt naruto's chakra

Naruto with Kyuubi > Sasuke
Naruto without Kyuubi > Sasuke

Its simple. Sasuke fought and led to the death of Itachi then discredited Itachi's ideals and wishes for him making him an enemy of Itachi's fans.
He led to the death of Deidara making him and enemy of Deidara's fans.
He led to the death of Orochimaru making the enemy of all Orochimaru fans.
He tried to kill Naruto who just wants to save him making him an enemy of Naruto's fans.
Minato's fans are also Naruto's fans so he's their enemy too. So that's how we got here.

I think you're giving this too much thought, there's people who don't like Naruto either. The only reason Naruto has less haters is because he's the main character, and one of the good guys. Sasuke hasn't fully committed himself to either side of the spectrum yet, so naturally many readers don't find him as appealing. People like certainty, and Naruto will always be the same lovable goofball we saw in part 1.
