The confusion arises because the design changes several times throughout the Naruto series. They are both similar in design with slight different alterations. Anyway, regardless what mode he enters, Naruto possess Six Path chakra.

You're ignoring the data book though. The data book clearly describes the cloak-less form of Naruto in which he kicked the truth seeking ball as being RSM.

The cloak with the juubi jinchuuriki pattern only appears when he mixes RSM with the chakaras of all 9 bijuus.

There is nothing to suggest that the mastery of nature energy makes the eye liner go away.

To be honest, I actually have my own theory as to what Naruto's form is.

We all know that after a while, Kishi seemingly just stopped caring about power levels and the details of characters' powers. At the very least, they weren't his first priority. This would explain some things such as:

How he initially forgot to give Boruto and Himawari the byakugan.

How he's forgotten to draw Sasuke with EMS instead of his original MS (which he has done several times, including once in Gaiden before a corrected version was released).

Etc...

Well I think that this concept applied to Naruto's modes. I think that Kishi got tired or stopped caring about the minor differences between modes (ie. this mode has eye liner, and this mode has a short cloak, while this mode has a long cloak, while this mode has tomoe, etc...), so instead of taking the time and putting the effort into specifying a specific mode with adult Naruto's design, he just decided to plop some random golden cloak on Naruto and call it a day.

Long story short: In Kishi's mind, adult Naruto's mode is probably not KCM, BSM, RSM or anything of the sort.

To him, it is probably just Golden Naruto (lol, taking a page out of Frieza's book, though I think Gaiden came before Resurrection F).
