i dont think it works like that honestly. Remember just because he has infinite chakra, doesn mean that he can never get tired. There is still a threshold on the ammount of chakra he can use without getting tired. Each tailed beast has their own threshold that is unique to them, hence, the number of tails. Which is why the nine tails is considered the strongest, because he has a higher chakra threshold than the other tailed beast.

Well remember the the SO6 split the ten tails chakra into nine part and gave it life thus creating the 9 tailed beast.......now just like how the people in naruto are born with chakra they do yet tired and have to replenish the chakra it is the same with the tailed beast remember they are using this chakra so it has to run low at some time if they are using it all so common sense being it has to be replenish........
