Why do some people say fictional characters can't be physically attractive?

I find nothing absolutely wrong with it, after all, they're modeled after humans, not a undentified species. Most people I see that complain are the same people that find video game characters hot, i.e. Miranda from Mass Effect.

Because paper is easily penetrated/spoiled by liquids. The illusion of attractiveness is ruined pretty quickly.

Human mind is an conflicted thing, if ask for my opinion then no being sexually attracted to art is unnatural, but in world where unnatural things like homosexuality, brothers marriage, animal X humans marriage are "Ok" then yeah why not

I'm not gay but there is nothing unnatural about homosexuality. It's existed longer than humans and can be seen in all sorts of animals. Even the most ferocious creatures like lions can be homosexual. There's some statistic anyway (2 out of 10) or something. It was on QI anyway. Damn, someone beat me to it :L
