Why do so many people love Madara?

he acts cool(but doesn't overdo it) and is pretty funny at times compared most characters,

he is supposedly evil incarnate,

the strongest villain,

makes the most epic arrivals,

completely decimated the shinobi alliance army and the Kage's without breaking a sweat,

has a variety of awesome grand-scaled techs,

first to control a bijuu,

and is a mastermind with knowledge that surpasses any living character.

Madara isn't really "that" strong. From what I saw in the battle between EMS Madara (with a 9 tail fox!!!!) v the 1st, He didn't really impress me. Lol I mean, Hashirama really sealed the nine tailed fox and beat his ass simultaneously. Turned him into a hermit for the rest of his life. Edo Madara is a badass however he's simply a product of Kabuto's genius.

With that said, Did Madara in the past have access to the Perfect Susanoo with just EMS? Just curious.

A bit disappointing that the majority can't properly explain why they exactly like Madara. Perhaps that's your answer?

As for the character itself, a few of his oneliners are hilarious. He's a very sarcastic person and he delivers a bit of new comic relief to the battle, like how he questions Naruto's good taste after the "Alliance no Jutsu" name. But it pretty much ends there. His main trademark is that he's definitely OP. The sacrifice of someone being too strong is that it takes away the excitement of the battle and also of the character. If Madara becomes the Juubi's jinchuuriki, he'll go from invincible to unbeatable... Nothing new basically.

I wouldn't be surprised if Madara will lose a huge portion of his fans once he's defeated. Because even if Kishi comes up with the most unique and satisfying end to Madara's role in the manga, people are going to rage all over the place because he lost a battle.

I already read your thread and I thought it was very well written. I enjoyed it and it was nice insight. Madara is:
-Bad Ass - as you mentioned
-Tough guy
-Always shows patience
-Always have his Trump Card
-Defeated the 5 Kages
-Always have back up plans
-Smiles when annoyed
-Because Madara can kill the entire Shinobi Alliance if Kishimoto allows.

Conclusion: Kishimoto is the boss.
