If you think about it, if anyone should be getting emotional over this revelation, it is the Karin fans and the Sasuke fans. Here is why:
Karin fans:
This revelation means 1 of 5 possibilities for Karin:
1. Sasuke "hit it and quit it" and/or raped Karin which should be very degrading to her.
2. Karin raped Sasuke or stole some semen from him, meaning that their (Karin fans) fave is a rapist or a creeper.
3.Sasuke cheated on Sakura with Karin meaning that their fave either got disrespected by Sasuke (because he degraded her by making her a side chic), or Karin is an adulterous pig along with Sasuke (if she did know that Sasuke was married)
4. Karin just wanted *** with Sasuke and somehow managed to get it, but she didn't want to accept the responsibility of the baby, so she just decided to drop it off on someone else. This would imply that their fave is irresponsible, lusty, and can't keep it in her pants.
5. Karin is simply Sarada's surrogate mother which means that she is Sarada's biological mother, but she just did it because Sakura may not be able to have a baby, so she had Sarada and then gave the baby to Sakura. Therefore, the Karin fans who wanted SasuKarin should be sad since this would mean that SasuKarin never actually happened. It was just for the sake of giving Sakura a baby which would further rub SasuSaku in the face of Karin fans everywhere.
Now for Sasuke fans, there are 3 possibilities:
1. Sasuke hit it and quit it with a one night stand with Karin, or raped her because he was feeling lusty.
2. He cheated on Sakura.
3. Karin is the surrogate mother.
Now for Karin, #5 is the only one that would keep her image/reputation out of the trash and #3 is the only one that would keep Sasuke's out of the trash.
As for Sakura, this revelation would actually potentially portray her as a generous, loving and forgiving person for raising a baby that is not hers alone even when she is betrayed and degraded by two lusty people (this case is if the truth is not #5 for Karin (or #1 if it was rape and # 3 if Karin didn't know he was married) and #3 for Sasuke's list).
If the truth is #5 and #3, then Sakura still got the baby that she wanted out of the deal and in the end SasuSaku still became canon (and not SasuKarin).
That is why if anyone should worry, it should be the Sasuke fans and the Karin fans. Their faves' reputations are in critical danger of going down the drain, while Sakura's reputation will potentially rise to generous and loving.
