I think Sasori's life goal was surpassing Monzaemon, but I could be wrong.

Izuna isn't nearly as underrated as Tobirama though, and Izuna was actually stated to be an equal to Madara when they both had MS. Not to mention that Izuna was the younger brother, so in power to age terms he was better than Madara. Also, it was Madara who abused his MS and got nearly blind, not Izuna. This leads me to think MS Izuna > MS Madara.
