People call Toneri weak just because he was defeated by a BSM chakara enhanced punch. However, all of you people who do this ignore the fact that there was in fact a good fight before Naruto landed the punch.
Did you people forget about Toneri throwing the rocks at Naruto with the tenseigan gravity manipulation (which is akin to the rinnegan's deva path)?
Did you forget about Toneri shooting out those giant tornadoes created by spinning the gudoudamas?
Did you forget about the little energy balls that he was shooting at Naruto as well as his gudoudama defense?
Did you forget about the light sword with which he cut the moon in half and also used as a laser towards the end of the fight?
Not to mention the fact that even after the tenseigan altar was destroyed and the moon's crash course stopped, Toneri was able to resume the crash course with the power of his tenseigan eyes themselves. This means that Toneri is not just a moon buster, but a planet buster (bringing down the moon would easily destroy a planet)!
Toneri was also able to knock Naruto out for 3 days!
Toneri is definitely a rikudou level character (when I say rikudou level, I don't mean exactly as strong as Hagoromo. I just mean that his power level is somewhere in the area of the RSM/Rinnegan/Juubi jinchuuriki/Kaguya level)!
Truth seeking balls alone already make Toneri practically untouchable. Tell me, out of all of the characters currently alive in the manga, who besides Naruto, Sasuke and this new threat for the Boruto movie could beat Toneri.
Sure he got beaten by BSM Naruto, but you have to remember that BSM Naruto was able to fight against 10 tails jinchuuriki Obito! Tenseigan chakara mode is more akin to RSM than juubi jin. Therefore if BSM was able to put up a fight against a juubi jin, then it shouldn't be that hard to fight a tenseigan user. It makes perfect sense that the battle went as it did. Also BSM contains a lot of chakara in it, so a BSM infused punch would do a lot of damage.
Naruto had already fought multiple juubi jinchuurikis and multiple rinnegan users, and he is an RSM user himself. Therefore tenseigan chakara mode (from a guy who just awakened the eyes might I add) shouldn't give him too much trouble.
I know you guys were probably expecting a long drawn out battle, but you seem to forget that "The Last" was just a movie. It had a time limit. It couldn't be some long drawn out fight like the ones in the manga. By the logic of you guys, every movie villain is fodder because their battles aren't long.
If you thought logically about this, a lot of the movie villains would solo most of the NV. Toneri would solo most of NV. Menma would solo most of NV. Etc... Is Hashirama fodder to you guys? Probably not. Well guess what? Toneri would solo Hashirama with relative ease! Golden sword dominates shinsuusenju. So does gravity, truth seeking ball, etc...
Forget the fact that it was one punch! Kishi has had multiple people lose due to one punch or attack. Neji in part 1 was beaten by one punch from Naruto (who was not in BSM might I add), yet on the scale of part 1 power levels Neji was not fodder at all.
If you call Toneri weak based on the fact that he was beaten by a BSM powered punch, then you are not thinking logically!
