[Discussion] why do people think that naruto is better than one piece

Naruto is riddled with plot holes and flaws. The story of Naruto has A LOT of fundamental problems. Including the lack of character development, the talk no jutsu, the inconsistent themes, etc etc.

One Piece is a very credible series, you can't deny that from a story aspect One Piece is amazing, whether you like or dislike the series.

But either way you can't say "well this series is better than that one" because it's your opinion.

Naruto is done, OP is only half way through.

IMO, OP's main advantage is a better story with way less inconsistencies, plot holes, etc.

Naruto's main advantage is that it has awesome fights like Naruto vs Pain. OP has really good fights too, and Naruto has some very mediocre fights (particularly after the Pain arc) but when you put up the best fights of the two series against each other, Naruto wins no contest in my eyes. Oh, and Kishi isn't as reluctant to kill characters as Oda. Or at least he wasn't, until the end of the Pain arc.

Maybe it has to do with the art style? I really love Masashi Kishimoto's drawings, and One piece is good too in that department, but also sortve lacking in my opinion. But One piece has the better story telling without a doubt in my opinion. Not to mention they arent even close to ending one piece.

Because this forum site is called Narutobase and is mainly about Naruto.... You shouldn't be surprised if they think Naruto is better than One Piece.... As for me, I like them both... I mean they both have flaws so meh

There are a lot of reasons why I don't like OP as much. This is all opinion

I like the manga but the OP anime is trash. The animation is terrible and the pacing is SOOO SLOOOW. It's like 1 chapter per episode which is unbearable. It's just extremely low quality.

I do like OP and the story and everything. But there's just way too much fluff. Like he needs to stop introducing characters that we don't care about at all and start actually progressing the story. I was really looking forward to the dressrosa arc, but now I'm just wishing it would end so we can move on in the story. It's been like 700 something chapters, show us more admirals and blackbeard pirates and people who actually matter! Nobody cares about rebecca and momonosuke. I want to see the strawhats fight someone important. I don't want to spend an entire arc fighting some random fodder villain who has no impact on anything (fishman island).

Sure the comedy in OP is better than Naruto, but I'm really not a fan of that type of comedy anyway. And so many of the jokes were killed after the 50th time. But they still use them! change it up a bit!

i mean one piece is really amazing it has better story, better adventure, better action and better comedy even though it's about pirates it seems more interesting than ninjas, i always try to quit one piece but after a year or so i come back and i don't want it too never end, it's not in the same level as dragon ball but its really better than Naruto in my opinion..

Personally, I like Naruto more but I think One Piece is objectively better. It's better written with way less plot holes and inconsistencies.

Why do I like Naruto more? Maybe it's because I got into it first. Maybe it's because it has absolutely unforgettable fights like Naruto vs Pain, Sasuke vs Itachi, etc. Even if OP is better, Naruto provides a lot of things OP doesn't.

Naruto fights are better than One piece fights IMO.

Both series have their own flaws, it's matter of opinion.

Stick to the original works, not the anime when comparing series. Toei is money hungry so the anime is getting poor pacing and now recently poor animation.

Lol OP doesn't revolve around fights/action. Hell, only 2 of the SH's are centered towards becoming strong (Zoro & Luffy). OP is more about the adventure/story than the action/fights. The reason why he's not showing us so much admirals/BB pirates is because they're top tiers so why bother having them this early on in the series? We've still got a good 10 years to go so it's pretty early to introduce them and show off their abilities. Think of it this way, it's like complaining that we haven't seen the leader of the akatsuki that much during the first 2 arcs of the Naruto TS. It's stupid to complain about that so early. You should be happy that the second arc of the NW is already incorporating 2 yonko's, admiral and a warlord.

The characters that Oda is introducing will have their relevance later on and even now, some of them are quite relevant.

Nope. Sadly you can't prove it either. Even the "hardcore" naruto fans that are posting here are admitting that OP is better but they enjoy Naruto a lot more because of personal reasons (nostalgia).
