Why do people think that Minato would crumple and go away if he transferred Kurama?

People seem to think that Minato's edo tensei would end if he lost yin Kurama and gave it to Naruto. I don't see how this would kill edo Minato. Jinchuuriki extractions don't take away a person's soul. It only kills them due to taking away their physical life force. Minato is an edo zombie, so extracting Kurama would at most make him crumple and have to regenerate (if even that). It would do nothing to his soul however. Therefore Minato's soul wouldn't automatically go off to the pure world just because of the extraction. Now don't get me wrong. I do think edo Minato will die, but I think it will be due to Madara killing him with Onmyodon. An extraction shouldn't kill him though.

Who says it has to be the reaper seal? There are plenty of seals in the series and there hasn't been a single established rule that says that a bijuu must be transferred using the same seal as it was sealed with.
