Disclaimer: This is not a Naruto > Sasuke thread or a Sasuke hate thread. I actually like Sasuke more and think he's stronger than Naruto atm.
But anyway, people are saying that Sasuke will kill Naruto, and that makes zero sense. And no, it's not because of that bullsh*t about scans from the movie, since movies aren't canon. It's because of the path the manga is taking. First of all, how many series have you known that are named after a character, completely focused on that character's goal and their development only to kill them in the end without letting them reach their goal.
1. Naruto will become hokage. Is he a good candidate? That's debatable. But since the beginning of the series, that's been his goal, and what he prioritizes above everything. Not having Naruto become hokage would make his entire character irrelevant, as all of the struggles he's been through have been to become hokage
2. Sasuke is not killing him. Naruto's other most important goal, besides becoming Hokage, is saving Sasuke. While SASUKE dying would be an acceptable turn for the plot (although I doubt it will happen, nor do I want it to) Sasuke isn't going to kill Naruto. Mostly for reasons stated already, and also because some of Naruto's main features are his determination ("give up telling me to give up!") and keeping his word. And he has made a promise to get Sasuke back, and nothing is going to stop him from doing that besides death
But in the end, just think of this logically. Do you really think Chapter 700 will be like this? ~
Sasuke: Now that I have established myself as Supreme Overkage of the United Shinobi World, I'm going to chill and kill anyone who opposes me!
