Boruto has a similar tattoo, so he might be able to resist Kawaki's power. Anyway , perhaps Kawaki is Kaguya level or even greater. Not confirming this. Just saying it is a possibility. What would be the point you ask? The point of making Boruto amd Kawaki this strong would be to reinforce the theme of the next generation surpassing the previous. About your question as to how the cloak would be absorbed in one go , perhaps the rate of absorption is extremely fast and it only takes one touch to absorb the cloak. Also remember that this was just one example. It could easily also be the time control or the carbon monoxide or something else. Maybe his words can be turned into power and he could just speak Naruto and Sasuke to death for all we know.

@ Bold, I remeber Kishi speaking through Boruto saying " I will surpass my shitty dad", so it seems his successor a year later is still crafting that idea. I had really hoped this wouldn't be the case though. That theme of the newer generation surpassing the old should've come to a halt with Naruto's gen in how the trio surpassed the Sannin, it shouldn't continue down to their kids. But unfortunately my opinion is irrelevant here and yes I do see Ikemoto carrying the same theme from Naruto's gen to Boruto's gen and so on.

If Kawaki can control the environment around him bruh, he is too hax. He would be more broken than Itachi with his spiritual weapons. So far what I am getting based off of today's chapter is that the Tatoo generates more power than the Juubi's chakra. JJ Obito had a difficult time countering BSM Naruto and EMS Sasuke but it doesn't look like Kawaki will have the same problem so maybe Ikemoto intended for him to gain the Tattoo which is very hax.

Even if it Ikemoto, he should carry some aspects of Kishi's style and not disregard them completely.
