Why do people think Hiruzen can beat Minato?

The 3rds summon can beat Minato's frogs, no chance

None of Hiruzens Jutsu's really have a chance of hitting minato because of his impressive base speed and his FTG of course

They were both said to be genius's so the 3rd has low chance of out smarting Minato

And this is the unbelievable short version but honestly can see why people think hiruzen can win. Hype doesnt mean shit!

there isn't enough information to support either.....it's pure speculation and bias. Considering that Hiruzen trained jiraiya, who then trained minato would mean that he would possibly have the advantage through given knowledge and skill.

Minato relies on ftg, but that requires a seal and physical contact with the opponent.....just because he has it, doesn't guarantee minato ever hitting someone with ftg. Hiruzen is a more ranged fighter from what we've seen considering he shoots fire and uses earth-release....also his staff is able to extend, making a swing from quite a distance. so there you have it.

This happens because Kishi built a lot of hype around Hiruzen and focused on Hiruzen being the most powerful and able of the hokages and the kages alive at the time. BUT what a lot of people forget is that Minato was the fastest hokage and being the most powerful does not mean you can defeat the other. I actually think if Minato and Hiruzen were to fight, it would be equal.

Also, Hiruzen beat the 1st and 2nd fighting together + Orochimaru, which is probs where he gets all his hype from. And the 1st & 2nd & Oro seems more impressive than beating Tobi, but imo, the way Minato uses jutsu is more intelligent than the 3rd's so I think he would take him even though I accept the 3rd as the most powerful. Don't forget how much Hiruzen shit himself when Orochimaru was summoning the 4th's coffin as well lol. But Hiruzen's reaction tells me he that even though he knew he couldn't defeat the 1st, 2nd, 4th and Orochimaru all at once, he didn't believe he would stand no chance against the 4 of them.

His they both have impressive taijutsu, but minato is the only one who was noted to have lightning fast reflexes and he can also teleport out of any bad situation at anytime

The point that theres no info on Hiruzen really is part of my point people dont really no shit about him but they blindly say he can beat people like minato, nagato, madara, and the 1st. And i want to understand it

Minato, the 1st, EMS Madara - yes, possibly. Not a "Yeah, any day of the week, and he wouldn't break a sweat" yes. Nagato... Edo-Madara... Woaaaah, there are 5 Kages right now struggling against that guy. Do people really believe that? Nagato might actually be possible, but it wouldn't be a matter of strength, chakra or jutsus; rather experience, intelligence and skill. But unlikely I would say.

You moron. So when Minato caught baby Naruto mid fall from being stabbed by Tobi's Kunai you are telling me that was slow. And no it wasnt FTg because Naruto was a new born and Minato had not even held him yet so there was no seal involved.

Go and watch the episode again because you must have something seriously wrong with your eyes. Sasuke and lee have an above average base speed but even still would not have caught Naruto. He's been noted as the fastest shinobi ever, even by the fourth Raikage and you think that Minato's base speed is above average, yes you are a moron. The fact that you said tObi could have moved faster despite that while scene moving in slow motion how do you know the actual speed he was going.

Also please tell me how fast it usually takes for an exploding not to go off, because from what I've seen usually 1-2 seconds. After minato caught Naruto the bombs immediately began to go off, yet minato still somehow teleported to another location, threw away the bombs in Narutos blanket and was fast enough to jump outside and survive.

But whatever, you are clearly a fool if you think Minato's base speed is above average. And wow, you called me a fanboy... Does that make you feel big or any better about yourself because I don't give a **** what you call me.
