Kinda long
Like the whole pairing makes no sense i'm sorry if i'm offending anyone but that's the truth. Sakura doesn't like Naruto beyond friendship and everytime i think she might Kishimoto has to come and say "No she doesn't heres another Sakura loves Sasuke confirmation" and for Naruto since the fake confession there hasn't been any confirmation for him liking her beyond a friend as well. Some people state Naruto saying Sakura is his girlfriend is a moment but come on he was hesitating because he doesn't know if his father meant it as a female friend or as a general girlfriend, if he meant it as a romantic way he wouldn't hesitate his Naruto this guy has more confidence then Chakara. Plus Naruto and Sakura were without Sasuke for a full year manga wise, no Sasuke to ruin their moments (even though there were no moments) but nothing developed, if nothing happens then, why would something happen now?
Now lets talk about Hinata and Sasuke. If NaruSaku was to happen what will happen to Hinata and Sasuke, i mean why for the love pancakes would Kishimoto develop Hinata's character around Naruto and Sakura around Sasuke? People say Hinata is selfish and only speaks about Naruto but that not the case, Hinata is based as a generally weak girl growing up in a environment surrounded with people much stronger than her but once she saw Naruto also weak but fighting to get stronger and not giving up regardless how hard it is to developed opened her eyes and this made her to grow stronger, she didn’t like him cuz he was popular or good looking, she liked him cuz he was going through the same pain as her for being looked down on. I mean how many times did Kishimoto say Hinata is a better heroine then Sakura? She been through a lot so did Naruto, they both want to reach the top after being looked downed on for so long.
And for Sakura, when she was younger i have to admit they way she held on to Sasuke really annoyed me, but thats was mostly because she liked him because she thought he was perfect and has no flaws. As Kishimoto said many times Sakura presents human weakness (as well as Rock Lee) her weakness is of course her heart and emotion. After the chunin exam and the experience in the forest of death she kinda change on how she views both Sasuke and Naruto, she began to treat Naruto more like a human and as well as Sasuke because she found out theres no human thats prefect and accepted Sasuke has fatal flaws in his life. Even after 3 years Sakura still loves Sasuke, even after all the things he done, she still loves him. Naruto accepted Sakura love for Sasuke won't go away especially what happened in the land of Iron. Since the Team 7 reunion the love Sasuke has been confirmed twice.
Sakura loves Sasuke and Hinata loves Naruto, the problem is; will they return the feelings? Naruto does care and like Hinata but love is still not confirmed (maybe after the war, dunno). And for Sasuke when Sakura confessed unlike any normal person they would either say accept or reject but Sasuke just said thank you and left. Since then we had nothing, no signs he cares or even acknowledges her until the latest chapter after he thanks her (and the last chapter i really don't think it as romantic more like it confirms he cares her)
At the end of the day i don't know how long it will take but for me SS and NH will become canon, after how much Kishimoto develops it i really doubt he will just throw it away. Plus wouldn't be awkward for Sakura and Naruto to be a couple i mean Sakura even knows Hinata likes Naruto and Naruto knows Hinata is the only girl that confessed to him.
Looks like i wrote a essay lol but i really wanna know why some people really believe NS is gonna become canon despite how much Kishimoto developed NH and SS. I don't ship anybody and pay no attention to it, hence why i'm really confused why people ship NS, cuz i think i missed something.
