No one cares about Sakura. Not in the states, not in Europe, not in Japan.
It's all an illusion. It seems like she has a big fanbase, but it's only like that because the 27 idiots that think she's useful are all over the place talking about her.

Don't make us all laugh
If no one cares about her, why you see no less than five thread a day about her? And if she has no fanbase, who is voting her? Remember, a character that is top 15 in a series with more or less 100+ characters is pretty appreciated.
1. In terms of personality, I like Hinata more than Sakura, but in terms of power, it is quite solid that Sakura surpasses Hinata.
2. I certainly would prefer Hinata with Naruto, but however things are going to end between these, it doesn't stop her from being one of the three leading characters in the series. You're not deciding who is the main female character, Kishimoto is. You can criticize Kishimoto for giving the main female character so little time on screen, and you should, but that doesn't make someone else the main female character. I can as well say that Naruto sucks compared to, say, Shikamaru who is much better executed, but Naruto is the hero and that's how it goes even if Shikamaru's fanbase was 50 times Naruto's fanbase.
3. No she didn't, she formed a team with Chiyo and even then Sasori died of his own will. But then again, it is true that the vast majority of Sakura's colleagues would have been blasted away by Sasori in an instant while Sakura held off her own, destroyed two of his best puppets, survived Iron Sand: Gathering Assault jutsu with bare hands, and neutered his poison (something only her and possibly Tsunade could achieve, meaning that other ninja who are on par with Sakura's level or better, like Neji, Kankuro, and Sai, would still succumb to the first graze). No wonder people quote that fight to express how powerful Sakura had become. She didn't win it, but then again the same you could say of Sasuke VS Itachi, no one mentions that fight to argument that Sasuke sucks.
