i think because of the god of shinobi thing,But is seems that kishi went out his way to make it clear thru(kabuto and madara) that Hashi power was unrivalled except by madara whom he beat.

Kabuto actually said that no one who was on Hashirama's level was around anymore. Not that Madara was the only one to ever be comparable to him. That obviously does not mean that Hiruzen specifically was on his level, but it does mean that there were people on Hashirama's level in the past.

It's up to Kishi. And he has yet to retcon what he said about Hiruzen. I admit, at this point, it's probably hard to think how Prime Hiruzen could be on the level of a man who took on Madara and the Kyuubi. But all it takes if for Kishi to throw in one epic Hiruzen flashback to fully convince people what was said about Hiruzen in part one still stands. And at this point, there's been nothing to convince me it doesn't.

Most people seem to be over the Hashi>Hiru or Hiru>Hashi BS. After a month or so it seems they finally realized there is no definite answer and that they were just going to continue saying the same shit over and over again, with no way to prove each other wrong.

I've been trying to argue this point from the beginning too...honestly, of all fads that Narutobase has gone through, this has been the most frustrating.

That doesn't change the fact that hiruzen was the strongest hokage and he already defeated hashirama once along with his brother :p

Listen. Please. The fight in NO way proves that Hiruzen is stronger than Hashi. In Bringer of Darkness, Hiruzen could have been killed at ANY time. In a real battle, with no plot, he loses there, no question. SO STOP USING THAT REASON.

And he was never said to be the strongest hokage by Kishi, and he's the only one who's opinion on the matter is final. SO YOU CAN'T SAY FOR SURE THAT HIRUZEN IS THE STRONGER OF THE TWO. Of course, you also can't say that Hashi is. But at least please stop saying Hiruzen is with such certainty.

Hiruzen was called the God of Shinobi a title given to the Sage of Six paths. As well as the strongest hokage.

Not to take away from what was surely unimaginable power in the Narutoverse, but seeing as he was the founder of the Shinobi world, that title could very well represent him being that very thing. He was the founder, the God.

Approaching the subject that way is very off base from the literal translation but it is at the very least a possible meaning of the phrase.
