Yeah, she isn't the most likable character.
I agree.

I ain't even goin front, the main reason I don't like her is cuz of the way she treated my boy Naruto thought the series lol rustled the shit outa me
Everyone is loyal to the leaf. Saying Sakura is loyal is not noteworthyBut why did she try to kill him?
His actions were placing a heavy burden in Naruto and the rest if the village so she took a side within that moment.
And the side she picked was Naruto's + Leaf village, LOYALTY.
There are probably like 6... maybe 7 Sakura fans on the entire base, but out of those 6.. maybe 2 or 3 of them are actually serious about being her fan. Defenders are different though. They aren't necessarily her "true" fans. They just defend her because she receives a lot of hate, so they think they are doing some type of good service by defending her bad character.
I've heard people say that she is realistic, so they try to get this idea in their head that "she resembles me" in real life, so I have to love her, and yet they can never remove her flaws and just tries to overlook them as if they didn't happen at all.
Of course everyone has their own tastes and personal likes for different people, but if you can't come up with credible reasons as to why you like something or someone then you are just like that blind fangirl who drools over a hot boy without knowing who he is.
As for your question on why people like Sakura; I cannot answer that question with a clear answer because I myself do not like Sakura, so I can only guess for the people who actually do like her.
If people want to waste some of their time trying to like someone that hasn't been proven to be liked for the majority of the series and can only prove to have one goal and motive then that is their problem. If people want to waste some of their time on trying to like someone who can only "steal" someone else's moveset and abilities and act like she has done a better job with them than the original caster then that is their problem. If people want to waste their time on trying to like someone who has no legitimate reason for loving a boy and constantly puts up with his shit and trash talk then that is their problem.
From what I have gathered, most of the people who like Sakura are just looking for attention. They probably laughed their asses off at her for the majority of part 1 and only started to banwagon to her parade when she fought against Sasori, but what happened after that? Her pathetic attempt during the kage arc and her resolve at the end of 699. What laughable moments. Two horrible moments where her character has dropped and looked like a joke.
>Her whole character of putting stress and weight on Naruto's shoulders because Sasuke left.
>Her constant 'goal" of trying to keep up with NaruSasu knowing their tremendous growth and the fact that she doesn't even put in nearly as much work at them
>Crying and always getting upset when Sasuke is doing something "bad'
>Making idiotic love proposals everytime she tries to convince Sasuke to stop
She's a doorstep and a wench. That's one of the reasons why she has not seen her husband for 12 years and is taking care of his kid because she knows that she will do anything for "Sasuke kun".
Wait people like Sakura?
Yea, she didn't treat Naruto right in the beginning but her treatment of him changed and matured drastically.

Why is it so hard to understand that people like Sakura and that they have their own reasons for liking her? Personally I find Sakura to be extremely relatable. She didn't start off being all that strong. She had to work hard for her power. She's the only member of Team 7 who didn't have any impressive power source inside of her or bloodline to start with. It's easy to relate to someone who isn't strong and who can't do the same things that others can but is willing to work hard to catch up to them. I liked that a lot about her. I like that she's very loving, smart and friendly. She's not perfect and makes mistakes but I believe her intentions are good and I understand where she's coming from. Sakura pre-shippuden was kinda annoying but she matured nicely. She raised Sarada all by herself and I think she did a pretty damn good job.
