Why do people keep saying the 3rd hokage is strong.

I dont understand the fact that lots of people think the 3rd Hokage is very strong.
He isn't even that strong to be honest. The only reason why he got promoted to be a hokage was because he volunteered to sacrifice himself to be a decoy. Thats when the 2nd hokage said "from tomorrow on you'll be a hokage."
He said it because he acknowledged the fact that he wanted to sacifice in battle, not because of his strength.

because in the manga Iruka,Kabuto and I think some other shinobi stated Hiruzen as being the strongest shinobi. My problem with that is we know at times Kishi can be unsure at things and switch up things in the manga. I think somewhere in part two he had a change of heart who the strongest shinobi should have been and changed it to Hashirama imo.

Being called the professor for once knowing all Jutsu's in the leaf.

Said to of been the Strongest of all the Hokages.

Said to of have other 1000 Genjutsu's.

Having almost all 5's in his Databooks, only have 3's in Strength/Speed/Stamina due to his old age.

Was able to Fight and almost kill Oro and two Edo kages in his old age.

was also said to be the strongest of the 5kages even in his old age.
