Kishi never said that the balance they represent has anything to do with strength, so one being stronger than the other does not void the whole yin yang balance thing they have going on. Hashi was widely regarded as Madara's equal yet we all know who is the stronger of the two. The so called balance ppl speak of could simply be ideals, but Naruto being stronger does not equate to an imbalance of some sort.

You're assuming that refers to their development in terms of power. I've always taken that to mean in terms of development as characters. Even if it meant power or both, you'd be making another assumption - that they improve as much as one one another. Which makes no sense.

Post time-skip, Sasuke was at Kage level. Naruto could hardly touch him. Then Naruto learned RasenShūriken and came slightly closer whilst Sasuke stayed at the same level. After that Sasuke got MS and became even stronger. Then Naruto learned Sage Mode and surpassed Sasuke. Then Naruto got KCM and was far beyond Sasuke. Then Sasuke got EMS and he was still significantly behind Naruto. Then Naruto got Bijū Mode, which put him even farther ahead. And after that he got Bijū Sage Mode, which made him even more stronger. And then they both got a power up at the same time and Naruto continues to make Sasuke look bad.

At best, current Sasuke = KCM Naruto. That's at best. He doesn't compare physically, he's much weaker and slower than Naruto. That's why he got a teleportation jutsu to make up for the difference. Even if you could quantify every power up as X amount, Sasuke would still be two power ups behind. So while they may have gotten Yin and Yang respectively, they weren't equals to begin with. The gap between them was far wider than it ever was between Hashirama and Madara. Only Sasuke's biggest fans will argue that Sasuke is on the same level, and the crazy ones will suggest he's stronger, but that's just ridiculous. Sasuke literally has nothing on Naruto. Nothing at all.

Sasuke's strongest techniques, Susanoo and Enton, are completely useless against him even without using BM. That's how big the power gap is.

It really surprises me someone like you would subscribe to this stupid belief that Naruto and Sasuke are equal in any way. You're a lot smarter than the average poster here.

Look at the pattern here and see that Kishi always wanted them to be equal at some point but stopped doing so.

Sasuke got CM+3T Sharingan/Naruto got the One Tailed Kyuubi Cloak,Sasuke gets Kirin/Naruto gets FRS,Sasuke gets MS/Naruto gets Sage Mode/KCM,Naruto gets BM/Sasuke gets EMS,Naruto BSM/Sasuke gets PS.

Now afterwards that's when the power balance started to tip in Naruto's favor,but it's obvious that before whenever one character got a power up the other receives something that helps balance it.

Madara was the only one to fight Hashirama yes but they was never portrayed as equals Hashi always been stronger since the beginning that's a fact Madara wasn't far behind but he sure wasn't his equal.

At some point, maybe. That is certainly no longer the case. Hell, we saw Hashirama whoop Madara twice when they were alive, and we know Ashura beat Indra. Why would Naruto and Sasuke be any different? Why would Sasuke be equal to the Child of Prophecy that embodies the best qualities of the Sage and Indra and has the power of all nine bijū?

Perfect analysis. Kishi has made it all too clear that this is his intention. Perhaps this will give us a clue into the future of the manga? They have to be equal once they deal with recreating the new Ninja World, right now I don't think is so crucial that they be equal.

Hashirama and Madara shows us what happens when the Yang is stronger than the Yin, which didn't end too well seeing as how this all ended up.

My guess using this as the thought process, I think either Naruto is going to have a reason to give up his power or Sasuke is going to unlock more of the Rinnegan (Maybe Sasuke isn't even revealing is whole hand either)
