Why do people keep saying guys dad didn't defeat the mist

People are saying 8th gate mode of guys dad couldn't defeat the swordsmen so that makes 8 gate guy useless against madara. That is false. Nothing was said about Dai not taking out any, he had to of taken out some of them, and they all have special swords and team work they all are powerful enough to possibly stop him its 7 people.Dai could have taken out a large number as all the swordsmen were dead and revived whose to say Dai didn't kill anybody.

8 gate guy's purpose is to weaken and slow down madara. You can't just expect him to end the war he can't be too OP.

Yeah, people were jumping to the keyboard without thinking. I think it's pretty clear even Dai, a weakling in the village, was able to cripple the most elite force of the mist severely with the 8th gate.

Truth be told, it seems pretty obvious that he KILLED 3 or 4 of them, and probably DEFEATED all of them. It's hard to know whether or not the survivors killed Dai, or did just that, SURVIVED. Dai might have died from the 8 gates after thinking he killed them all, or before he could get to the last few, or they could have killed him in the fight. One thing is OBVIOUS though, he definitely did serious damage.

He could have killed up to 5 of them. But we know that Raiga Survived, and Fuguki survived so Kisame could kill him.
