Why do people jump to the conclusion that Zabuza fought Yagura

In the scan where Kakashi discusses Zabuza's failed exploits it's brought up that Zabuza established a coup and was unsuccessful in assassinating Yagura. ( I don't think I need to post the scan, but I can if need be)

An assassination attempt is trying to kill someone. A failed attempt means that for one reason or another it didn't work.

Meaning Zabuza could have been trying to kill Yagura and been the thwarted by anyone from that village (joinin, bodyguards, and or anbu)

And it would still be classified as a failed assassination attempt.

It's not unreasonable to think that Zabuza might have fought Yagura.

Personally, I think Zabuza is more of the type for guerrilla tactics and would've avoided a fight had his sneak attacks not worked, but a small skirmish between him and Yagura isn't out of the question.

Even if zabuza DID "fight" the mizukage, since he was trying to assassinate him, it was probably not an actual fight, but an ambush/sneak attack to try and catch the mizukage off guard. People misinterpret that scan and try to imply that zabuza is kage level due to that......but I agree with your thread.

It was obito and zabuza is OP to fight someone strong as obito and survive until he fought kakashi.
It seems obito failed to kill zabuza too since zabuza left village.

That's proof that 1 sharinghan become useless once zabuza use his hidden mist and it's manga fact that zabuza already fought obito uchiha the 4th mizukage in disguised.
