I will spoiler tag my short summary of the shows just in case someone really doesn't want to know anything beforehand. what I will reveal are basically the start of the mainplot that is revealed at the first episodes of the show.

Humanity has been all wiped out by it's new natural predator the titans. Titans are large creatures that looks like humans without genitals who's only puprose seems to be to wipe humans out. They devour them given the chance even though it doesn't seem as they need to feed in order to survive. Humanity's pushed back to behind three almost 50 meters high walls that hasn't been breached for over a hundred years. Untill today.

This serie is about humanitys fight against their natural predator. The characters are all well written and you find yourself constantly worried about the safety of your favorite character.

Self-proclaimed mad scientist Rintarō Okabe one day visits a local lecture about timetravelling. after the lecture he hears a scream and runs up to find famous scientist Kurisu Makise in a pool of blood, it appears she's been stabbed to death. Escaping the scene Okabe sends a text to his friend and finds himself on a totally empty street and that a satelite has fallen and crashed down into the building he was just in. Later he finds out that the lecture he was allready at has been cancelled and then when he attends it he finds Kurise Makise alive and well.

As you can probably guess this anime is about timetravel and is very well written with lot's of plot twists and interesting situations.

magical girl breakdown

In all honesty I really doubted that I would appreciate this one when I started watching it. The story is about a girl named Madoka meets a little animal that offers her a wish and magical powers in exchange for her promising to use her powers to defeat the evil witches that roam the world causing suffering to mankind.

As you can probably tell this is a description of every magical girl show ever made. However, this one is not anything like them at all. This show starts off bright shiny and happy but after a while take BEAUTIFUL turn into something dark, gloomy, cynaical and sometimes downright frightening. This show blew my mind, the contrast of it's bright and shiny theme with the dark story is simply brilliant.

It's about a straight A student who one day finds a book with the name death note on the cover. In the book there are rules stated on the first page.
1:the human who's name is written in this book shall die.
2:This note will not take effect unless the person writing has the persons face in their mind while writing the name. This name no one with the same name will die.
3:If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of the name being written, it will happen.
4:If the cause of death is not specified the person will simply die of a heart attack.
5:After writing the cause of death, details about the death must be added within the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

Light who finds the book decides to start killing criminals off by writing the name only so that they all die of heart attacks. And not before long The famous mastermind criminalbuster L is on his tail, thereafter a beautiful game of chess and death is played out between the two masterminds. Light trying to find out who L is so he can kill him and L trying to find out who's killing the criminals and why without revealing himself.
