First let me get this out of the way. I don't have a preference on who beats DD, between Law or Luffy.

Those that are obsess with Luffy beating DD, is that cuz Luffy is the MC, cuz that's how it has been in the past or is it cuz you hate Law?

Why do you want Luffy to beat DD?

Law should beat him, it would be stupid if Luffy beats him. Law has to avenge Corazon while Luffy is just pissed off by Doffy. Luffy should just woop Trebols ass and be done with it!

I would actually prefer seeing both as a team beating Doffy.

honestly i dont see law beating mingo but i do see him pushing mingo to the point he uses CoC feats as a last resort to put law down then luffy will show up and wreck mingo with his CoC feats but may be it`s just because i want to see what CoC does soon XD

Because we're nin the 3rd (4th actually) arc Post TS and Luffy needs an opponent, so unless a bigger badass than Mingo arrives Luffy is taking him down

Also Luffy already said he's kicking Mingo's ass

I don't mind Law defeating him (with Luffy's help obviously)
This is Law's fight afteral , Doffy is to Law what BlackBeard is to Luffy .. a natural enemy, arch nemesis or foil .. whatever u want to call it
Law landing the finishing blow would bring closure to his past

Because Luffy is the main and usually defeats the arc villain.

It has... nothing to do with people disliking Law. Not may people here dislike him anyway.

Because after the Timeskip we've so far gotten two pathetic main villains in Hordy Jones and Caesar Clown. Doflamingo is that first villain that feels threatening in comparison to Luffy. If Luffy's Timeskip resume' becomes Hordy, CC, and Trebol I would completely be disappointed in the Dressrosa finale...Fishman island and Punk Hazard suckee enough as it is , no need to taint Dressrosa.

Actually, Law had been badly injured to finish Doffy off on his own. Though for the recent chapter, Law by chance had an adequate time of resting and some recovering period thanks to Luffy who previously kept on carrying him around before they met Doffy at the palace. Law caught Doffy off guard by revealing himself as a D and managed to hurt him a little, and Doffy was being careless in the end when he got stabbed by 'Injection Shot' from Law.

Still, Doffy would be so mad he might beat Law furiously after this. Law's stamina would be drained down, since his power had limit. Knowing Law as a D too, that alone could trigger an unpleasant act of Doffy. By the time Luffy got back to where Law n Doffy were, Law might be passed out or beaten up too much. Probably one of the reasons why Oda separated Luffy and Law for a while there.

I bet Luffy vs Doffy as the final fight for this arc rather than Law vs Doffy. It had always been such pattern in several arcs before. Luffy would be usually distracted by other foes before he could get to the leader of the villain. Once Luffy randomly chose his opponent, that said opponent was a dead man for sure, and conveniently, every villain he chose was the strongest one among others without him knowing it.

In reality, Luffy has nothing to do with all this. He isn't even emotionally attached to Doffy and vice-verse. There is too much Law-Doffy thing into this and Oda didn't even bother create a emotional situation where Luffy actually have a reason to defeat Doffy(he has none besides wanting to thank Rebecca for buying him lunch Lol). But we all know it's Doffy who will put him down. Not sure in which state Doffy will be by then though. Law is basically the Namek arc Vegeta of this arc

Why do people have such a hard time believing that something can stop Law from beating Doflamingo? Personal grudge or not, he isn't the MC.

I want Law to defeat Joker but sadly it is not going to happen and I have several reasons to believe it.

Law is in a bad shape so I don't think he can keep fighting and defeat him.
Law defeated strongest enemy at PH.
Luffy didn't get a strong opponent until now.
If Luffy said that 'I'll kick his ass' then he'll do that without a doubt.
Luffy is the main character so Luffy should be the one to beat the strongest.

Main reason why I believe that it'll Luffy is: We know that Law saved Luffy's ass so he must repay for what Law did to him. I believe that it is the best opportunity for Luffy to repay him. Law never planned to stop Joker on his own to began with so he wouldn't mind it even if Luffy beat the living hell out of Joker.

Law should be the one to do it because this was his plan all along.

But Luffy needs feats and right now post time skip he has none.

Law will weaken Doffy to the point where Luffy can take him out. That's pretty much how it's going to go. Law will watch Kaido kill Doffy and we'll see him laugh/smile.

I'd honestly prefer to see Law defeat Doflamingo on his own for a few reasons:

1. It'd be a nice chance from the "I'll do it" "Shit I can't do it" "Do it Luffy!" format. Law is a pirate and a contender for the Pirate King title in his own right, I'd hate to see someone like that have to leave his life's goal up to Luffy.

2. It'd be better writing. Aside from straying from the normal format, it makes a hell of a lot more sense for Law to take out Doffy. He has better reasons and has a stronger connection to Doffy, while Luffy's reason for doing it is mostly because Rebecca fed him.

3. Law is my favorite character
