Apart from his tragedy,which had a huge influence on him I don't doubt that,he is an arrogant little brat that has no respect for anything and believes he can take on the whole world because he carries a name from an important clan.
The fanboys are also a good reason to dislike him even more.

No body cars about what NB noobs think of Sasuke....they're just too jealous of Sasuke because most of them are either fat,can never get the girl,failures in school and out side, and never had someone who would die for them like Itachi.

To be honest the people all around him made the young man he is today. Girls flattering him people putting the notion in his head that his clan were gods amongst men only built-up his ego, then time and time again every major antagonist told him he was weak Haku, Orochimaru, Gaara (in his sociopath period), meeting Itachi again was when it was too fargone the sound four then only exploited it all of this was build-up all the other characters seemed to ignore. Finally Sasuke kills Itachi and realises it was the last thing he wanted:NO: but when he heard "Madara" instigate the ninetails attack all of my hatred would be directed at "Madara". Despite how intelligent and clever he is he is unimaginably naïve.

They are irrelevant.

sasuke is personally my favorite character, but there you go.

To be fair his character ain't to bad but those fanboys of his...I mean anyone who calls a character 'Lord' needs to get out not to mention they seem to think the manga is called Sasuke instead of Naruto.

I can understand disliking a character, as e all have or preferences. What I couldn't understand was the tremendous hatred and why there are so many haters. It's kinda ironic how they hate more and for less reasons that Sasuke himself. These are some of the reasons I've seen, though most are just straight up stupid.

His personality. Apparently, Sasuke is emo, and people hate emo. He is arrogant, thinks he is better than everyone else, and they hate this, even though it is the truth and he doesn't think he is better than everyone, just Naruto. Then they hate because of his fanboys. Example, Sasuke and Naruto are pitted against each other, and then Naruto fanboys and Sasuke fanboys collide, and haters are born, with the poor few who just so happen to like them both, suffer.

Some people are jealous as ridiculous as it sounds. To some, Sasuke reminds them of someone they hate, or they secretly wish they could be like him. Or maybe they hate what he stands for and what his character is about.
