why do people hate sasuke ?

I mean, he didn't do anything bad but doing what his instinct told him and i think he is a great character I'm pretty sure that if your whole family was murdered in front of you and that the murder was your brother, you would hate him. Later on after finding out that your brother did this for your own good, i'm pretty sure you would hate the people who pushed your brother to kill your family and seek revenge. My question is : Why hate on sasuke when he is just the victim in this whole situation ?
Why do people hate him and so much to the point that they call him gay and stuff ?

Apart from his tragedy,which had a huge influence on him I don't doubt that,he is an arrogant little brat that has no respect for anything and believes he can take on the whole world because he carries a name from an important clan.
The fanboys are also a good reason to dislike him even more.

The fanboys ruin every character they fanboy over.Its just that Sasuke's are very frequent(like Minato and Itachi).

It's like any other character with a decent fanbase.. you're going to have haters.

I will say this though. He did learn that Itachi did it for his own good, his own good being: Saving Sasuke from a life of hatred or even death because of what the clan was planning to do. He wanted Sasuke to eventually understand that he is the new type of Uchiha, one that stands for their village and doesn't get clouded by pure hate.. unfortunately the message was missed, but is now being put into clearer words by Hashi. (Basically saying, if you continue, you'll end up having the same fate as Madara... which was eventually death.)

That is why people seem to hate him. Someone that seemingly came off as a cool, but good guy turned out to be bad. I'm sure most of his haters were fans of his character from the start of the series, but the more "emo" he got.. the harder it was to like him kind of. A good shinobi can and will protect his village and comrades.. he has had selfish motives since he lost against Gaara and was saved by Naruto.
