Instead of why do people hate Sasuke? (fanboys and fangirls overrating him) the topic should be why do people overrate and worship him so much?

lol idk why I, dislike him, I just do! He's a cocky little brat, he killed Itachi, one of my favs even though he shouldn't have, he doesn't deserve the Sharingan, only person I think deserves it is Itachi. I just don't like em U_U

The reason why i dislike Sasuke is because of what he did to Karin. She healed him and he stabs her through her chest not even 2 minutes later. Wtf is up with that? He deserves to be hated when he treats people who HELP him like that.

I don't even hate him for going against Itachi's wishes though i feel very sorry for Itachi.

sasuke is the tragic character, and though i love me a good tragedy, i find myself hating him. this is mostly because of his fanboys who dream of someday sucking his ****. i mean, these people actually think he's in the right by wanting to commit apocalyptic genocide on innocent people who did NOTHING to him at all.

however, even if it weren't for his fanboys, i'd still detest him at least a little. why u ask? because sasuke is MEANT to be hated. do u remember this "those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum,"?

I appreciate that you showed some good reasoning here and didn't just spout one-sided drivel which is so common amongst those who defend Sasuke. I understand that Sasuke was decentish at that time but he was far from being decent/good or anything of the sort. He still carried out tasks that caused others pain just to serve his own needs.
Sasuke wasn't sparing people as such, he just wasn't wasting his time killing people he didn't care about or consider worth killing.
I think there is a big difference. RE Deidara, Sasuke only spared him in exchange for information about Itachi, he wasn't just being nice.

I acknowledge that sasuke is "bad ass" and hes a really cool character if you feel like you connect with him. meaning, you feel alone, and you are egotistical and an *******. because it appears thats the kind of people that defend him.

he is "bad ass". he does what he wants and he always tries to look cool while doing it. and most people like the "Do what i want" rebel style. which is probably what you like.
