I understand how something can be annoying if you see people do it all the time but it's not justified to hate things people like. For example the hoverboard or "self balancing scooter" is hated by so many people just because a lot of people use it. They will call you a swagget, or idiot for using it.

Besides that people will hate on people they don't even know like Justin Bieber and Kylie Jenner. They claim they are stupid but they don't know a single thing about their personal life.
And don't get me started on the term hypebeast.

It seems like people want everyone to be unique and if you follow a trend you are a sheep and stupid.

Is that way of thinking correct?

Don't care about Kylie Jenner. I hate Justin Bieber. Used to hate Bow wow, but gotten over that. Guess I'll get over Justin Bieber in a few more years.

People can hate on whatever they feel like, why restrict them? Love and Hate have never been the most logical of emotions
And I can shoot whoever I want. Does that mean I'm right? Hating something for no reason is wrong and shows how shallow you are. How can you try to pass your morals off to someone else yet be such a terrible person inside.

Maybe it is because people overhype it or them too much which makes it overrated? Let me tell you one thing...

For example in Western idols like Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus etc. all of them in my opinion are overrated since people are talking and thinks they are unique, but the world is much bigger than you think, because there are a lot of poor people out there who can sing better than them, even though they don't have the money to attend auditions. That's the reason why people dislike the fact that those around being famous are better than non-famous people which is not.

How can you not hate anything. Hatred is what advance life and technology. Microsoft hating on sony cause they them to create a better xbox one. Hatred can be a good thing here and there.

That's reaching. It's not the same as hating on people and trends just because they are popular dude. Microsoft and Sony are huge companies and rivals thus they must compete for higher sales.

Hate isn't bad, but stupid and unjustified hate is bad.

No you can't shoot whoever you want, unlike love and Hate there's a law that regulates shootings.

You sound like you have a tangible reason for all your emotions, love, hate, anger.... When the very notion of emotions make them somewhat immune to logical processes.

You believe that people can hate whatever they want just because its their right to. And I can shoot whoever I want as well. Both views are very controversial and shooting someone is not illegal everywhere in the world (really bad third world countries).

Hating is bad... it ruins what people enjoy when a bunch of people hate on it..

For example, this good remix of justin bieber sorry got a large amount of dislikes. If you look at the comments it was just because JUSTIN BIEBER was on it. I doubt most of them know who he is or his personal life either....
How can you defend hatred?

As always, people hate him for certain reasons, maybe many people hate him since he got popular because of Usher who turned him into a popstar?

For fear of being called a sheep. Hating something because it's popular is corny.
HAH! Lol. True in MANY cases.

But at the op: hype can destroy great things. Doesn't make it bad but repetition becomes tedious & destroys
interest. Then it creates annoyance and finally "hate". Even in the things we started off loving. Imagine how much easyer the proccess is if someone started off not caring about it at all?

But on the matter of hype:

He makes some good points (made it almost a year ago)

Hmm I think I get what you're saying. It's true I know nothing about Justin Bieber for example, so I don't judge him, I don't recall ever bashing him or his fans, let them be. I just find his music very simplistic, and that's why it is popular: because even the most simple minded people can understand 'I love you baby lalalala'. But I know how much I have studied music and I know how much it takes to compose and perform really complicated works, and JB simply doesn't meet that standard, notwithstanding that he apparently has talents, but he wastes it in such a way that degrades music and I don't respect that. Of course noone can please everyone's taste and he doesn't have to . His music is directed towards a certain audience: sell and demand waltz once again, this time to Bieber's music. I don't hate such people, I just look down upon their activity, and I think it's ridiculous how some teens admire these stars. It becomes irritating after a time. Then some friends of mine that have dedicated their lives to music and sacrificed many things to be musicians, and are much more talented, are starving, simply because their music is not the popular mainstream category. I know,I know, the world has never been fair, and noone should hate someone just because he/she is more successful/lucky.
But again, I'm talking about their music or their public activity...not their personality- but as for their personality, they look much like media's puppets to me, and there's not much to appreciate about that.

Then there are people who have literally done nothing praiseworthy or productive to get the fame and money, they just prostituted themselves in a reality show or things like that, which is disgusting. And yes, it tells a lot about their personality: but again, it's not like I hate them personally -especially that I don't know them, but many a times they look douchebags and act like douchebags exactly because they are douchebags, and you can't blame me for calling someone by his/her name. It's just I kinda feel sorry for them and it's sad how many people enjoy such entertainment- but I know it's just that how it is, most people have always been rather simplistic and that's not necessarily the problem, but often these very people start judging others. One example: few months ago someone commented to a news video on YT that these migrant hordes in Europe should be shot to death, and when I tried to argue, he made a reference -after checking my channel, I guess- to me being a delusional fool coz I like classical music. So, yeah, I think there is a correlation between one's intelligence and the music he/she listens to and the people he/she admires.

But I guess I digressed. I understand your point, to hate something simply because it's popular, without any further arguments, is stupid. (Popularity is not necessarily a bad thing, after all, but sadly, somehow stupidity and stupid things have the tendency to spread faster.)

Nice I enjoyed this post. I don't care how someone got famous. Lets be real, if we all had the chance to be famous for doing something small we wouldn't hesitate at all. You find people who hate on super stars yet they would pee their pants if they met them in real life. I wouldn't call other douche bags, maybe that's just what life is like at the top. Maybe we aren't supposed to understand it? They aren't affecting my life if act like ****s.
Essentially the judging is wrong because we don't understand them.

I hate when people make a big thing about stupid things

Okay fine let's take a look at kylie Jenner why people prob hate is prob because no one knows why she is famous well at least they know but they don't understand it.

Now Justin bb I don't really know why people hate him maybe because some people treat him like a god when all he does is sing a few songs and that's one of the main reasons I hate most celebs

Well, yeah, many people are just envious and they'd sell their souls for fame and money too. But again, speaking for myself, I don't hate them, nor do I judge them simply because they are popular...but sometimes one's public behavior provides a good basis to infer their personality: of course it's another question to get to understand why they act that way or how they have become the people they are - but I don't need to understand how a PC works and how it was produced in order to identify it as what it is : a PC.
Similarly, I don't necessarily have to understand a person to tell he/she is a douche...But of course I don't go around calling people names all the time. Those people that make hate comments on popular people all the time, are probably simple minded themselves. But at the same time everyone has the right to criticize others' activity/work/behavior.

Anyway, funny thing is I doubt that these famous people/starts like Bieber care about haters...haters gonna hate they say.

I don't hate things/people because they're popular. I hate how things change after someone/something got popular.
Let's take the brand Supreme for example. Supreme started as a Skater brand which I personally really liked. Nowadays, I can't get shit from it because since they got famous, they always release their clothes in tiny parts. So if I don't camp in front of a store for 3 days, I can't wear it because re-sellers sell the clothes for at least third the prize. You can look it up. Also I don't like how everyone wears it today, so my personal style has been influenced a lot due to it becoming popular. I just prefer to have some individuality.

The title is contradictory, and I dislike Justin Bieber because he's a self-entitled arse. Don't know anything about his personal life? I guess you missed all that has been highlighted.

Including walking off/ turning up over an hour late to concerts his fans paid for, not even caring. Or demanding nurses at a children's hospital to move all the sick kids beds away from him because he didn't want to be near them; to add insult, he didn't even thank them and was only there for five minutes. Or the vid where he was caught blaming rape victims for being attacked? The list is endless.

Don't care about the Jenners/Kardashians, or those boards.
