Why Do People Hate On Obito? (As A Villain)

Well, I get the basic arguments.

"Oh his crush died boo-hoo"
"Just because Rin died he wants to kill everything wtf"

But don't you all realize that that's not it? Obito isn't doing it because of Rin now, sure that might have been his drive before, but now Obito is beyond Rin or anybodie's words. Obito is doing it now because he is sick of the world and what it's become, everything being a shinobi entails.

Obito doesn't have a massive vendetta against Kakashi because it's not about Rin any longer; he's sick of the Shinobi World. His whole drive is to make a world without suffering.

Now, take that as you will, whether that makes him a better villain to you or not.

Another thing I hear is, "He's not very complex of a villain"

Yeah, he isn't. But isn't that what makes him so great? In my eyes, I like the simplicity of his character. He was a good kid, like Naruto, that snapped. Rin was the straw that broke the camel's back; Obito's main drive now is to destroy the old shinobi world and usher in world peace.

So, all in all, I believe it's what makes Obito so simple that makes him a great villain.

As far i remember obito isnt the first nor the last villain that turned evil due to death of loved one.
It very common and understandable given his age at the time.
So far obito is best villain in this manga period.

He has a terrible reason for being a villain, really. But if you look past his reason he can be sort of entertaining. And what he did in the hundred or so chapters while he was pretending to be Madara made him a great villain.

Kamui is also stupid-annoying. Which may be one reason. But yeah, it's mainly the fact that he's *****ing about losing a close friend in a war. Where everyone is constantly losing a friend. Really, he should have known it was going to happen.

I guess it doesn't help that Kakashi did it, he might feel betrayed. But he probably knows Kakashi didn't want to do it.

He is originally good kid. Just like naruto is now obito was so from the start.

Obito is my third favourite character after Kabuto and Deidara.

I love how he was basically Naruto as a kid, his jutsu, all of his costumes and his dialogue. His goddamn dialogue.

Shoot I love him as a villain. I disagree with the complexity of his character. It just depends on how you look at him.

It's nice the manga finally confirmed what I suspected. Killing Rin was not the reason for this whole thing, he was sick of everything! I don't like or dislike him, I just find he lacks the personality and charisma Madara has so I don't see him as a real villain. My view could change by the next chapter but for now he doesn't really impress me.
