Why do people hate Obito's motives and the fact that he always thought about Rin?

Does it really matter that he thought about Rin or got talk no jutsued in the end? It really shouldn't matter if you ask me. The fight with Obito was still an epic battle and Obito still came very close to achieving the eye of the moon plan. The shinju was out and was about to bloom! In a lot of fiction and literature, the villains usually do come close to their goals and then get defeated in the end. That is the same thing that Obito did. Therefore he did his job as a villain.

Furthermore, the thoughts about Rin actually made him stronger. It was the thought of Rin that allowed him to resist Madara's control the first time. It was the thought of Rin that allowed him to suppress the juubi and become the 2nd sage of the six paths. The thought of Rin made him so much stronger. He even awakened the mangekyou sharingan because of Rin's death. The thoughts of Rin gave us a stronger and better villain than the likes of people like that pathetic Orochimaru. Therefore, I don't see your problem with this issue.

Regardless, he is poorly written villain. He was amazing when he had his mask on, but after it got shattered and learning he done all of this because Rin died, I lost all my interest in Obito. The fact he keeps thinking about Rin even as 30 years old and her death was 17 years ago, just shows how pedo and pathetic he is. Not to mention he keeps blabbing about peace while attaining the Juubi. He got one shotted by conversation of a 17 year old boy, and he tried to revive the Shinobi alliance. That's why he is an utter fail as character and villain despite the power ups he gained to achieve his plan.

Characters like Madara and Orochimaru as villains are just successful and best. Both are evil and blood lusted. Madara better as villain IMO.

Madara > Orochimaru > Pein > Kabuto > Obito when it comes to written villains.

Edit: Hell, even Kabuto was better villain than Obito.

A childhood crush that got killed isn't an excuse to start a war where thousands of innocents have been killed.

Think about how Kakashi must've felt, didn't see him run off and killing innocent people for no good reason. Although, a lot of this is thanks to Madara's manipulation.

Its not dirty unless he has wierd fantasies about her [sexual fantasies]. All obito wants to do is live his team 7 life, he doesnt want to make a pass at rin, he just misses her.


I always say this, imagine if your sibling or really close friend died, now imagine you're 14, would you ever forget about that person who's been in your life since early childhood? Of course not, that's like saying kakashi would forget about obito, yet he still arrived late to missions & meetings in homage to him. I guess kakashi faps obito too? Obito was a 14 year old boy when kakashi found out he died :eww:
