Why do people hate Obito?

I love Obito, second favourite character. Don't worry, he's a cool guy- don't let other people tell you who you should and shouldn't like.

I think is pretty clear to see that it was because oh Rin's death that he was so easily manipulated . People & his fans are buying the excuse that he wanted to change the world & truly wanted peace , which in the end he only wanted a world where he could be with Rin again : most of his dialogues are about her , his will power is her , his flashback are her , nothing but b1tching with his character & now im suppose to feel sorry for him ? lol no a chance , I'm actually enjoying his suffering to the fullest , I really dislike his character , almost to Sakura levels .

IMO his character was centered in one thing & i didn't like it .

He wasn't a bad antagonist but he wasn't really a good villain as in an evil villain.

The only way to redeem himself in terms of being a good evil villain is if it turns out that he never cared about any of them at all and his goal was to enslave the world all this time. But that would involve more explanations and it obviously won't happen.


Although I do agree that at some points it did annoy me. Even if it was because of Rin, it was still overdone. Mentioning her once or twice is fine. One or two flashbacks would've been fine too. But IMO Kishi overdid it.

Other than that, I didn't find his character all too bad. Atleast it added an interesting
twist as Naruto's opposite.

Well most of the haters hate obito because:

-They thought he was Kagami or izuna
-They miss interpret the Rin situation
-Lack of basic story comprehension.

Most of the haters, not all but most hate obito because they don't get him. Sure they read the manga, but reading the manga doesn't mean you understand it fully.

Obito's character is truly deep. Deeper than any other character other than the main characters. People need to see obito in Kishi's perspective. Kishi wanted obito to be portrayed as a tragic character who gave into darkness because one of the most important person in his life died. After you fully understand that, you can understand where obito is coming from.

Obito's Motivies:

Rin was the catalyist of his turn to the dark side, He felt hopeless so he wanted to create a world where she lived, But further living in this world and in the dark side, He was able to see the world for what it's truly is. A hateful place where there can never be peace.

Some say love is stronger than anything in this world. Maybe that's where kishi was going with obito's character.

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you people? I just went through every comment just now. Everyone. Not one person addressed the Uchiha massacre directly. Christ people I don't even hate Obito but that reason alone is more than enough to condemn him. He and Itachi literally went around shurikining,kunaing,amaterasuing,kamuing,and tsukyoming not only men but women, children, and babies(and probably their pets too). I know it's unpleasant to imagine but at least Itachi had a reason. Obito was probably just following Madara's Orders. And because of that guy the Uchiha lost the trust of the leaf and got pushed to the far side of town after he manipulated the nine tails. So he really boned his clan twice. The leaf thrice. Obito was a nice kid. As an adult he's pure scum. And let me repeat, I don't hate him. I empathize with him more than probably anyone here which is why I can assure you he's scum. Hope that didn't come off as a bash. It's mostly factual observations.
