Why do people hate Obito?

I need some good reason as to why Obito is a bad character or villain. I might make a misconception thread about him. I like Obito.



Reading opinions. Also, give me good reasons. Not that shitty "he doing it for Rin" argument.

Edit: Fine, at least give a good reason why Rin made him a bad character.

Honestly,people hate him because of the whole Rin thingy.
I love Obito,he is the man that made Naruto cry like a lil b!tch twice in the same arc,that alone speak volumes.

He was very gullible and easily manipulated.
His dialogues are not worth reading like other villains like Madara and Orochimaru.
He was no able to harness the complete power of the Juubi.
He was ultimately defeated by the worst jutsu ever Talk no Jutsu.
He isn't a very likable Uchiha, none of them are.
He would have been better as a good ninja rather than a wannabe villain.

Well the rin thing elaborates into a lot of different reasons for why people hate on him. I mean in other words, you could say that it brings a lot of flaw's into his character.

Like his motives are pretty weak in that sense. Because of Rin dying, he started an entire war and plans on enslaving the world with the infinite tsukuyomi. I mean we've had characters like kakashi and naruto who have suffered way more than obito yet they haven't turned evil. It just show's how mentally weak obito is. Also, because of that, Madara manipulated him and you could give more reasons as well. That's my reason for hating obito. IMO he's worse than sakura.

Well theres the rin thing, and, in my opinion, they are just butthurt because they thought he was Izuna or Kagami.

I mainly see it because of the Rin thing. People usually forget about the character development and plot Obito brought to the manga. The man goes through so many changes, and Kishi portrays his story beautifully IMO (maybe too much Rin flashbacks but eh). It doesn't help that Kamui solos either :hypertobi:

I don't hate Obito but I don't think he is a good villian. Good true Villians are not prone to Talk no Jutsu Obito had TnJ written all over him a feeling you never got from other villians. Final villians are supposed to be Villians, cold hearted, ect. Orochirmaru reeks of that and Madara to a lower degree. Maybe it's because Tobi= Obito was obvious and we knew what would make Obito go bad.

I didn't like how Kishi overdid the panels with Rin either.

Although to be fair, the reason why everyone else who has had it bad before didn't turn evil s because:

1. They aren't Uchiha's.

2. They were in a "hole" but they had friends and supporters to pull them out of that "hole".

At first, I didn't think I would like how the fight would turn out. But then it showed that even Naruto was about to give up if Hinata hadn't snapped him out of it.

All the way to the point where it showed Naruto with the alliance on one side and Obito all alone on the other side.

So it's like while the rest had supporters to pull them out of that hole, Obito was pretty much stuck in that hole with no one to pull him out of it.


Well actually he had Madara and Zetsu there but I wouldn't exactly call them a good influence lol

Obito has one the best dialogues in the manga, next to Itachi. Only thing Obito said that I hate was when he talking to Minato and he said "I'm glad you became Hokage because it helped me give up my dream of becoming Hokage" that was dumb as hell.

When he told Minato he's always late when it matter, that was perfect. That had to hurt Minato's heart a little. When Kakashi goes to kill him, Minato's in time. That was really smooth, imo.

I didn't even think of that. Not to mention that Minato was also late in preventing Obito from becoming Juubi Jin and was actually on time to prevent Kakashi from killing Obito.

Although that is true, the reason why he was kept in a cave was pretty much because of them. If he had been there with Kakashi and Rin then perhaps it would've had a different outcome.

Pretty much Madara and Zetsu coming along brought him misfortune.

I think is pretty clear to see that it was because oh Rin's death that he was so easily manipulated . People & his fans are buying the excuse that he wanted to change the world & truly wanted peace , which in the end he only wanted a world where he could be with Rin again : most of his dialogues are about her , his will power is her , his flashback are her , nothing but b1tching with his character & now im suppose to feel sorry for him ? lol no a chance , I'm actually enjoying his suffering to the fullest , I really dislike his character , almost to Sakura levels .

IMO his character was centered in one thing & i didn't like it .
